@the #Cans Master ive reread my post and I still think what I said is right. That I see life negative. That this season has been incredibly bad. That this squad and team and management of the players is absolutely terrible. I personally think these specific statements are true. Now as for your points. All are separate and all I agree with.
I got the best blowjob last night and that happened this season. But it doesn’t detract from my points mate. My specific points where all factually correct because they have happened. And it is unconnected. Well maybe not. I was thinking about Mandy at the time.
Confidence plays a big part and let’s not forget it’s the same squad more or less that got us to 12th last season. I think @Roland Deschain is right in that the 5-4-1 just doesn’t work as we are light in midfield. Even Schar could play in as a defensive midfielder however I appreciate he isn’t one. But if you concede that much possession and chances against your gonna lose. That 65 minutes was like a training session. It’s clear Jones isn’t a manager.
After 65 minutes I was happy and we were where we wanted to be. Then he said he was disappointed with the goals we conceded. Quote from Jones. So he is basically stating the obvious but it just makes me think of Bruce. Of course we where happy with drawing 0-0 against Chelsea. But let’s be honest we didn’t exactly try and have a go at them either.
I think the problem we have is the players available in the squad mate. At the back we can't go with a 4 due to Captain Fist Pumps needing a player either side of him in the centre. In the midfield we simply don't have the quality to have 3 players in the middle with A) quality ball control. B) heading ability C) passing skill D) dribbling skill E) the ability to tackle cleanly. On the wings we're lopsided. Left is good with ASM and Miggy as a a backup, Right hand side we're woeful. Upfront - Wilson is good but no prem quality back up. Means we require 2 cb's a lwb, rwb, 3 cm's a right winger and a quality striker to fight Wilson for his spot. This is all caused by lack of investment and over reliance on the loan market for years.
I agree the players collectively are poor. Which makes the team and squad poor. I have seen worse though. For me that is only part of the picture and it’s the full picture that we should be concentrating on which goes back to my 3 points about Ashley, Bruce and the PIF. Those 3 points make this the best season for years and that is a huge plus. I am actually looking forward to seeing the matches. That hasn’t been the case for quite a few seasons. I know we will probably lose games like yesterday but the bottom line is that we now have some hope for the future and that for me is another huge plus which outweighs, for now, how bad the team is.
I agree. But we could still try something different as it’s not working. We have Shelvey Willock Hayden Hendrick Longstaff who are natural central midfielders. Yet Miggy and recently Fraser who are not natural cm have played in there. We are lopsided aswell your right. ASM is being shoehorned into a role he isn’t good at which is behind the forward. He is an Attacking left winger which when you have Ritchie behind him totally exposes us. Actually that position is best suited for ASM, Miggy, Fraser (**** I know) and also Joelinton. With no natural attacking right side player. What a mess we are in.
Fair enough: and deep down i feel exactly the same. But I still think that our squad and management should be getting a better tune out of things. I don’t see how 5-4–1 ever works. Lascelles and Clark have been crap all season and we have Schar sat ok the bench: I do wonder what he has done behind the scenes.
I'll be honest. Schar is better than the current version of Clarke or Lascelles however he could be seen as too attack minded to be put in the back with just Fernandez as we'd get done on the break in a back 4 with a lack of pace. He does have a howler in him too due to a lack of concentration. Just being objective here as I do prefer him to Lascelles and Clarke who have both gone backwards this year.
He could be good in a back 5 though. He is a ball play wing defender and could link the defence and midfield up quite nicely. On a side note this is another quote from Jones. He contradicts himself twice but at least he is saying we need someone else. He basically is admitting he is not good for in the dugout. Jones reflected: "I think it needs a fresh face. "I think the fans were incredible today. p:nth-of-type(6)","type":"performPlaceholder","relativePos":"after"}" data-placeholder-placeholder="" data-response-start="494" data-type="placeholder" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; border: 0px; outline: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; caret-color: rgb(20, 20, 20); color: rgb(20, 20, 20); font-family: "Open Sans", sans-serif;"> "It's not a style of football the fans are accustomed to, we want to attack people, we want to score goals. p:nth-of-type(11)" data-layout="baseLayout tabletPortraitUpwards" data-init="true" style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; border: 0px; margin-bottom: 18px; outline: 0px; vertical-align: baseline; min-height: 1px; position: relative; caret-color: rgb(20, 20, 20); color: rgb(20, 20, 20); font-family: "Open Sans", sans-serif; background-color: rgb(230, 244, 255) !important;"> "But this is the stage we're in. "We haven't kept enough clean sheets this season and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out what the need is at the minute. "I haven't spoken to the owners. "We'll see what they've got to say tonight or tomorrow."
That cheered me up. The picture that was here was a girl showing her boobs on Twitter but I have been informed that it is against the site policy which is fair enough.
Most of us on here can see it, everybody knows 4-3-3 is our best tactic. Manq at right back, Schar alongside Fede in defence, Lewis has to have a crack at LB (or Clark, if he's that bad, but just get Ritchie out for fux sake). DM has to be Hayden, because there's no-one else, but you put Willock and Almiron right and left of him as they both have legs to press and carry. ASM left, Joelinton right of Wilson. You've got Murphy as backup, can switch Joe left. Both players can switch it up during a match as well, and they're both decent at carrying forward. If you then have Almiron or Willock bursting forward it's a good attacking line up. Keep Lewis/Manq more restricted and make sure Hayden keeps a lot of discipline in CDM. Ritchie, Fraser, Longstaff, Shelvey, Lascelles, Krafth should be nowhere ****ing near the Premier League.
Agree. Would add Darlow to your list of should never be's. He was absolutely shocking again yesterday.
Day 26. Manager - nobody. Chief Exec - Lee Charnley. Director of Football - nobody. Other Appointments - Dickman, from League One Sunderland, to run u23's. Plan - not evident.
After 14 years of fatso.... I'm happy to wait. The deal happened unexpectedly for PCP so they are playing catch up. I'd rather the right person come in... than the first person...
