  1. Leon Best has done nothing wrong and has played well with Ba, and deserves to keep on playing because he's doing his job.

Marv could cut in and shoot or swing a cross in from the right side on his left boot. It's worth a try.

We have scored plenty of goals from crosses this year.
Simmo doesnt have a good delivery his useage of the ball is awful

Its not just what a player does with the ball , Obertan may not have produced the final ball often enough this season fair enough

But every time he plays the opposistion have 1 eye on how quick he is regardless of his final ball

if your playing against a team with that much pace it take your full backs ability to push on entirely out of it

Perfect example was BAE for tottenham barely made it forward once because he cant leave a gap behind him.

And im sorry nothing is broken, we havent lost a premier league game, improvements maybe be possible but broken no

I am a normally a big fan of Best, I like what he does, but he really frustrated me last weekend. It was Shola-esque the way he kept getting caught offside, and he didn't look as good as he did previously. Despite his excellent first touch, he lacked that pace and even the guile he showed previously. The lad hasn't scored in 3 now, and if we are going to drop a forward for HBA, it would have to be Best. I'm not saying freeze him out at all, I would still give him at least 30 mins, I just want to see HBA get back into the Starting XI asap.

Yeah, that's exactly why he stays in the team. Very little end product, but as you say his pace is enough to restrict the runs of the oppositon full backs. If we had a slow right midfielder (e.g. Guthrie or Barton) then Walker from Spurs would've been charging forward all match long (well until he got injured).

Not just BAE, but Bale was anonymous as well, because Obertan tracked back a lot better, and matched him for pace.

Good point, but is it really needed when it's Figueroa playing?

James Perch lol. I don't think Obertan is great, but wouldn't say he was ****e - has pace to burn and will improve imo.

On Marveaux - I think he deserves a run out - but so does a few players

I recall a player called Andreas Andersson who would challenge that allegation.

Cheers for reminding me of that miss vs Villa. It got me thinking, imagine if that had gone in and Coloccini put away that chance against Tottenham. We'd be 3rd and absolutely flying...if only!
