There are FA regulations on the size of sponsors logos and where they are located but I don’t think these state that they have to be the same sponsor on shirt shorts and socks.
Just been doing a bit of reading up on this. My take aways from what I've read (official FA handbook) are as follows :- 1. Walk on jackets and tracksuits and other clothing worn in the technical area and does not have carry the same sponsorship as worn on the playing kit. 2. More than one company can be advertised in the same single area as long as the total advertising area does not exceed the stipulated measurements 3. We can advertise on the back of our shorts but not the front 4. We can advertise only once on each sock 5. We could have completely different sponsors on our home kit as oppose to our away kit. Any third kit's can carry alternative sponsors (to that of the home/away kits) but only with the permission of the competition. So basically we can do what the **** we like is my take on this. I'm not aware of any PL clubs with sock sponsors, or a different sponsor on their home kit vs their away kit etc etc so surely if we were to set a precedent for this then there is no "fair market value" and it would therefore be baselined from what our arrangement was.....pretty sure there'll be a loophole in here. please log in to view this image
I don't think you can currently have multiple sponsors on a kit in the PL. I remember a couple of years ago they changed this in Scotland so you can have a main sponsor on front of shirt, a second sponsor on the back (Not 100% if they have sleeve sponsors). Pretty sure it had to go through a meeting though. They could however have multiple club partners. (All the bollox on the boards at press conferences etc). They could have a training kit sponsor, a training ground sponsor, an academy sponsor, an academy team sponsor, a women's team sponsor and being the forward thinking club we will be a LBGQT+ team sponsor
Wasnt the sleeve sponsor quite hotly debated? I sincerely hope it doesn't go like other football leagues, here in Norway you can't even see the club crest, the sponsors make the shirts look like utter ****. please log in to view this image
I think a lot of people need to remember how much sheer damage over a year of none investment and complete lack of management can do to a company.
