Hard to make out in the video but I'm pretty sure it's a 'j' sound rather than 'ch', which is the pronunciation of the ç character. The surname in the video baffles me though. There's a missing syllable surely.
And the wrong way round? Phonetically from the video I get something like Ichila, but I can't make that from the letters in his name, at least not in the order they're written (cue Morecambe & Wise clip)
It shouldn't matter too much. Loads of people on here have been using Assam instead of Assem. Or '****y Chops'...
