I hope he gets all the support and guidance he needs, but at some point, he's going to have to deliver, or change career path.

Don't disagree with this at all. The comparison previously to Cameron Stewart was a sound one. He may well drop out of the game at this rate, or else find the right club and kick on. It's why my first post was to suggest he may need a fresh permanent move away from City where he can reset.

Doesn't sound like they've written him off quite yet...

James needs to be fitter,” Ross told reporters.

“He’s available, but he needs to be fitter. Once he does that then he’ll be back in contention. You look at your squad all the time.

"We have been hamstrung by injuries middle-to-front for a while now, and we’ve got fairly restricted options in that regard.

"You need players to be at their absolute best and the challenge for James is to get to that level and once he is, then he'll be an asset.”

regardless of he is struggling - it’s his job to keep fit, it’s what he’s paid for

also, if he is struggling it’s his responsibility to seek help & request support - he’s an adult.
Yes the club have a duty of care to him, but he has a responsibility to himself also

I'm not sure eating too much pizza is a definite sign of mental health issues.

Actually the adult brain isn't fully developed until our late 20's.

I'm not sure how suggesting that a 21 year old may be struggling to settle is a diagnosis of anything other than not jumping on his back like the original post OLM put up.

Better stop people voting, marrying and being able to drive or go in pubs until their late 20s then.

So you are an adult with regards those things at 21 but not if you are struggling with the burden of being paid a lot of money to do something which others pay to do in their spare time?

To be fair, they only worked out that children weren't born with adult brains in the 20th Century, so there's a long way to go.

It is soft sods who think 21 year olds should be treated like kids whose minds haven’t developed.

Scott has been given absolutely everything possible in terms of support. His injury was a freak accident and then covid hit etc and it made it much harder for him to integrate into the squad, once fit he was given extra support to get upto speed etc but the drive from himself just wasn't there....He was home sick and unsettled In Hull so a move back north was sorted for him. Everyone around him has bent over backwards to help.

He loves the pro footballer image and lifestyle, loves posing with his gf and range rover. But really doesn't ( at the min ) have the drive and desire to actually be a professional footballer. He has some poor people around him that aren't helping him.

I posted it in the injuries thread before you posted it on this thread (didn’t know where to post it tbh). Is it true that he’s been eating a lot of Domino’s since since he got injured?
