good news, the lad still has a way to go (obviously) but his general play and vision is spot on for a young lad and will improve further...he still tends to wander in and out of games and can get frustrated then throw himself into a 'dodgy' type of tackle but experience will take care of that. afore anyone leaps in, i am not slagging the lad off and i think he would be first to admit he needs work on certain parts of his game, he is still a young lad and is showing more signs of improvement every game.
Said it before and still believe it, if we're not in the Prem in 3 years this lad is gonna make us an absolute fortune.
certainly dont disagree with that, his first thought is to try a defence splitting pass that most could not even see...he is learning to pace himself better at the minute which will bring more involvement in games and with his vision that can only be good.
Genuinely think he could be as good as Hendo. This is the best piece of business the club has done in years, imo.
What a brilliant bit of news. Would love to have him still in 2 years as we push on. I have seen loads of lads come through, to varying degrees. This lad is as good as any I have seen in a long long while. In terms of technical ability Martin Smith was a player who I loved as a youngun, Neil has more about him. I think he has the world at his feet and I hope we can keep him improving.
He talks so well. I had no idea he missed 18 months at 14. I coach a lot of that age group and a long term injury takes some coming back from. Credit to the club on that front too. Now head down and keep grafting, you can be anything you want to be Dan lad. (But take the gowey out next time )
