    Fact is, and this really is a fact, the Saudis are in total control of NUFC.

    The Mags may delude themselves that they have their club back ...

    ... they haven't.

    The Saudis can do anything they choose and won't care how many Mags turn up shouting at their stonings or beheadings.

    Exactly. "We've got our club back" is perhaps the most laughable thing they've ever said. They've lost it even more, its soul has literally been sold. They are nothing more than a propaganda tool.

    They must be bloody awful if that's the best he can do.

    Not only have they lost it, but they can never get it back.

    I personally find this pretty sad, for all the rivalry. I know lads who go there and are deeply unsettled and not sure if they'll keep going. They know what has been lost.

    I agree. Not all their fans are as gullible as the ones on this site. I mean look how many thousands carried on going when the wicked Mr Ashley of Sports Direct owned the club, who was such a disgrace he didn’t pay the full minimum wage, and ignored some workers rights - what could be worse than that.

    I like this Martyn Ziegler journo, he seems to be uncomfortable with this takeover, and he's sniffing around for more detail, I think he's worth keeping an eye on, doesn't seem to have any affiliations, just doing what good ( impartial ) hacks do, investigative journalism.

    If any journalist could post the proof that the deal is legal, the Saudis aren't involved and there won't be deliberate sportswashing I'd let it drop ...

    ... I'm not holding my breath.

    On a footballing note (I know, I know, fancy bringing football on a football message board), Watford play Southampton this weekend, Leeds have Norwich and Newcastle have a small club in West London to face. By Sunday tea-time Newcastle could be 6 points (plus goal difference) adrift of safety after more than 1/4 of the season played.

    It would be funny to see Norwich win and send the Mags bottom but let’s be honest, Norwich are going down. Leeds win preferred in that one. Southampton have every chance of a result at Watford.
