Bit ironic that we may have another rb who is better going forward than defending that the rb in the first team, who is better going forward than defending...
Good entertainment you scored we didn't https://www.not606.com/threads/pres...ool-deepdale-27-10-2021.396637/#post-15300768
how can he be a better winger then?? that doesn't add up mate. all you've described are attributes a winger needs not a full back. My main thing is i don't think he can run in a straight line. he is like a sail boat tacking against the wind, especially with the ball.
they do when theres no mid week game. When theres constant games then theres no time to have those midweek intense games where everyone goes hard at it and works the systems. It looks to me that compared to a months ago origi and minamino have lost all sharpness for example. Tsimikas for me was piss poor compared to the displays he gave early on in the season. They are all dropping off the level.
That's not the same though is it? Also I think it was more of a mix of players from different levels. In fact, Klopp said this about the game, which I only saw after my comment (my highlights):
then pay more attention to development. there prob posts from you on trent can't defend someplace in 2019 Kelleher has come on leaps and bounds. Williams has for sure improved over the past 12 months. You need to get with the homegrown issue man! this guy is more than good enough as is jones to fill that quotient thats only going to get bigger.
Of course you need to give youngsters time to develop but I'm sorry I just haven't seen enough from Neco thus far to suggest he is a viable option at full back as either a potential starter or back up. Trent's defensive ability have always been blown out of proportion but he is actually a solid defender and has the attacking output to separate from the rest of the pack. So far, Neco has been dreadful defensively in terms of tackling, positioning, covering. Going forward, he looks the part and has the ability to put in a good ball or two. But more often than not, he is head down and makes the awful decisions. A lot of these issues are down to game intelligence. Not saying he won't ever be good enough but can't see him developing here at this club because Trent is so good and still very young and will get most of the minutes. Neco won't get regular game time to develop. Re. homegrown issue - sign Bellingham and Dele Alli. Problem solved
but you said bellingham!! lols. 100mil player right now. (if grealish is) you might as well say sign some lad out of preston in the championship thats about as realistic as us signing bellingham now.
Home grown rule. 8 players. 4 club trained 4 trained from league clubs. If you reduce the number for foreigner slots a bit more from 17 to 13 (max I could ever see happening) the pinch would be severe. Neco Williams Jones Rhys Williams Trent Kelleher That's our 4 club trained slots filled. What if we needed 6 instead? Suddenly we are looking for another from youths Our league trained Ox Milner Henderson Gomez (I dont think gomez is club trained) 2 of those are getting on in years. So we cant be chucking out young options who can develop willy nilly. Morton and the like might be the next gen coming in to fill slots. Another example is bradley. He is not going to be league trained
