I think they fell out with them as well, after articles like this... Hull City takeover: Assem Allam’s disrespect of fans outweighs the good parts of his Hull City reign https://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/spo...-of-his-hull-city-reign-stuart-rayner-3418334
Way way back then, I thought the Allams were at the front of a queue of one. No, no, I was informed, there was other interest. While the rest conducted or were in the process of conducting due diligence, Papa steamed in and blind sided them. Why would he do that? From a conversation with a local councillor, he believed the stadium could be for sale. To me, that made sense, buy the club, buy the stadium, sell the package, and get in and out with a healthy profit. That was the speculation and reasoning for the Allams buying us. Turns out to be another somewhat major factor that I only became aware of earlier this year. A poster let know the Allams had actually invested in the Bartlett regime and bought the club to protect that investment. And finally, after all those years and wondering why, so that was the deciding factor. My reply is not a criticism or questioning your post, just to show that speculative adding of two and two does not always get you four.
