So we’re the only team not in the prem. If this was any other year, sky would ensure that the third division club got a live game. Let’s see what happens after the draw on Saturday!
Would depend on the draw. If say Chelsea draw Liverpool and its Spurs v Arsenal think we've no chance as they'd be the 2 live games. But like you say let's see.
So Liverpool's winning goal looked offside ... ... I wonder is the Preston supporters will be writing letters to the authorities and suggesting the match officials shouldn't return to Deepdale While I'm on I have to say the whole night reminded me of the old days travelling away to watch Sunderland. The pubs and streets, before and after, ringing with our songs, nonstop support in the ground and meeting up with all kinds of people. The Sindercombe pub was full of Sunderland including @Sidthemackem and a few more from this forum. There was a couple of London based people in the ground, next to me in the upper tier, who's 7 year old son absolutely sang his head off all night, great to see. There's a great feeling around the club that we haven't had for many years, what a night.
Well last night's results mean Callum Doyle will be available for us to play in the final..just saying
This won't be popular but, after quite some consideration, I'd sacrifice promotion for a win at Wembley.
Being in the second division, a season earlier, wouldn't be talked about for long. A major trophy would. Only idle speculation though, it would take three consecutive wins against PL teams so quite unlikely ... ... no harm in enjoying it while it lasts though
I enjoyed the debate about whether it was offside or not, it's interesting how a set of what should be black and white rules can be interpreted so differently. In all honesty I'm still not sure, don't think I'll be switching careers to train as a ref.
