Personally I'd keep them all. Spend any money on a replica Saiz but without the issues he seemed to have.
I’m not his fan, I’ve called him out more than a few times, I’m just pointing out Rodrigo was equally as poor so for me someone costing us £27m is far more disappointing. If we cashed in on Roberts we’d make profit, if we cashed in on Rodrigo we’d be lucky to get 50% of what we paid for him. If you call a salary of £22k a week a huge pay for a PL player you’d better close your eyes because Rodrigo is the highest paid at the club and on £100k a week, more than four times more and he’s definitely not worth it. I’d high hopes for Rodrigo second season in but he’s a huge disappointment.
Rodrigo and Llorente were the best players on the pitch last night. Rodrigo was running some great lines up front first half. 2nd half we starved him of the ball. That's not his fault.
Good points and Rodrigo's movements first half were excellent to be fair As were Tyler's and Dan James, which is why we looked a threat going forward.
Been looking at the dodgy journos again mate Rodrigo is our highest earner on £74kpwk, Bamford will be onnthe same when his contract sorted, but Kalvin is expected to be around £80kpwk soon. Rodrigo was on £23kpwk in Spain so lets stop making stuff up and believing clickbait stuff
Well heres the BBC Gossip crap Liverpool have joined Manchester United in the battle to sign Leeds and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips, 25, in a £60m deal. (Star) Paris St-Germain have joined the race to sign Leeds winger Raphinha, 24, after receiving glowing references from his Brazil team-mate Neymar.
Seriously? Rodrigo was poor, the other day Doc quoted Leeds Live player ratings to make a point against Roberts, I can cut and paste the 5 out of 10 rating and comments for Rodrigo against Arsenal if you like… It’s all opinion at the end of the day mate, I’m not a fan of Tyler Roberts but he cost us peanuts compared to what Rodrigo cost us and what the comparison in wages are. Many were already concerned last season about Rodrigo, I always said I’ll judge him this season and so far I’ve been disappointed. I’d still pick him ahead of Roberts
Source for this £74k please mate? I’m guessing your only source will be online reading material the same as those stating £100k a week. Let’s for arguments sake say the £74k is correct, it doesn’t make it any better, he’s still on three times more than Tyler and still not worth it. Still no return on our investment, very little sell on value, others might be happy with how he is performing but it won’t change my mind until I see him doing on the pitch what I’d expect this kind of investment to do. The other danger, players look at his wage, they think “I’m better than him” so when contract negotiations start they’ll use his wage as a starting point… Let’s not forget either, Rodrigo also has add ons to the initial price we paid for him
So at last the ginger whinger has been sacked by Barcelona. The very good news for Leeds is that Xavi will take the job now. He refused in the summer until Barcelona had sorted out some of their finances. Good news for Leeds, why? Well one of Xavi’s best mates is Pablo indeed we took him from Xavi’s team. We will still have a good relationship with Pablo and Castelon the club he part owns, and we also have Victor Orta who knows Xavi very well and we could see some academy exchanges and preferable loans.
The latest screen grab isnt correct as there was an uplift at the start of last season for the players who got us promoted. But its fairly clear that this study covers everything except performance bonuses and is done for every top club in Europe. Which Leeds United players are the highest paid? We spent countless hours over the last few months tracking football player movement and digging through every possible article regarding Leeds United we could get our hands in an attempt to bring you this list. Please note that these amounts are approximate and in no way official but we believe that through our research we can present this important information as close to accurate as you will find without seeing the signed contracts
@Doc I’m not going to argue with you over wages, I’ve got to say and admit £100k doesn’t sound believable but then that list of wages you’ve put up looks miles off the mark, it’s far from accurate, it’s almost laughable, no way are there several first team players on less than Gelhardt and Koch on double Llorente! Bottom line is £70k or £100k a £27m flat fee or a £27m fee with 10m add ons I personally don’t feel Rodrigo is worth it. I’d hoped others were wrong last season but those with concerns have been (in my opinion) proven correct.
I think Doc was merely making the point that his click bait sources are more reliable than any others and anyone who disagrees should stfu
I don’t have to read match reports from newspapers and online websites to see how players have played. I played the game for years and know what I see. What I saw on Tuesday was Rodrigo making multiple runs down channels and in between players dragging them all over the place. That gave a ****load of space to other players attacking and caused the defence to be a bit nervy pushing a high line. He was exceptional in the first half and was key to how we dominated. Unfortunately Arteta changed it around a bit and we were weaker in the middle with Klich on. Rodrigo then further weakened the midfield when he moved back to accommodate Gelhardt. Fwiw I think Rodrigo has largely failed as an experimental midfielder. He should be left wing or up top or on the bench. However on Tuesday he was on fire in the first half. Those runs to create space are probably the reason he plays up top for Spain on occasion. Very unselfish.
