Well after the horror show last week Vs Chelsea, Norwich hope for a shock win, perhaps with a player ghosting in at the back post. (urgh enough of the terrible Halloween themed post, I hate the American money making festival so enough already!).

After a sobering defeat to Chelsea many already believe Norwich are Farked this season and are calling for a change. Where to make the change though, coaching staff, manager, personnel, formation, or a little bit of all?

How can a side be so dominant in the Championship be so abject in the Premier League? Is attack the best from of defence? Norwich got sliced open easier than the Titanic on an iceberg and appear to be sinking at the same rate. Though even amongst the best side they can still get a thrashing these days as Man Utd found out at the weekend.

However Leeds are not having as good a year as last and are hovering just above the relegation zone. Is this Norwich's chance?

This will be the 60th meeting between the two sides and I must admit the rivalry has been surprisingly even. I thought Leeds would be far superior, but the edge it with 23 wins, Norwich have 20 with 16 draws. In 1973 we played them 5 times and lost in the league and the FA cup after two draws earlier in the cup.

We first played each other in 1935 and the last game was in 2019 a 3-1 win for Norwich this game would be very, very welcome!

Miserable old git <laugh>. My US grandsons love Halloween. It's a load of fun and far less hazardous than Guy Fawkes' Night.

Nothing wrong with All Hallows Eve until the Americans, as is their wont, turned it into a commercial opportunity.

Halloween is a camp parody. Not a patch on the Mexican Day of the Dead.

As for Bonfire Night, I have loads of fantastic memories as a kid. And personally I hate to see a genuine British tradition get eclipsed by American kitsch.

Sorry Zog, just want to say great thread. Let's hope!

So do I, it was the latest I would stay up all year. We had 6 houses in our close and we would have a bonfire in a brazier and fireworks, all sorts of food as well. There are still two patches in the pavement where things got a bit out of hand and us children decided fires on the path were a good idea haha.

Be interesting to see which way Farke goes on Sunday. Does he stick with the defensive format or return to something more like the old 4-2-3-1?

Personally I hope he comes out all guns blazing and goes for it. He may as well because it's the result that will matter. If we lose, he'll be blamed for not having a go if he plays five at the back, and blamed for being naive if we play 4-2-3-1.

Saw that. Thought I'd come to you lot. Leeds board is full of good lads but can be harsh. There's no serious malice intended. Just tell em where to go and they'll be fine.

We've plenty of injuries at the moment (no excuses) and our 'flair' players have not set any records as of yet. If Raphinha plays and you don't kick him off the park then I fancy us to get chances.

As you posted above though, Carrow Road isn't exactly a happy hunting ground for us over the years. Neither is Ipswich to be fair.

As an outsider looking in, the sale of Buendia weakened you and you seem to be missing him badly. He was great for you guys. Also surprised you didn't get the lad from Spurs permanently. He looked a player too.

Always got on well with the Leeds boys on here but you are bound to have one or two with delusions of grandeur and short memories.

The reason we have been handed parachute payments 5 times is because we managed to get promoted 5 times.

1 season in the Premier league in decade's and some think they are part of the Elite .

League 1 is not easy to get out of for some ,

I would bring up dodgy money laundering foreign corrupt owners versus our stealing parachute money that other big sides should be given just because but I won't.

There's always ar least one **** on a board, ours is probably me <laugh>

That's hard to predict. He could stay with a 3-5-2 and bring on impact subs or make a small change to a 3-4-2-1 with another attacking player to pose more threat up front. My guess would be Rashica alongside Sargent with Pukki up front. Normann seems likely as the dynamic DM but who would play beside him is harder to predict.

Raphinha, a Brazilian Buendia type, is Leeds' best player and much will depend on whether he's overcome his injury. He's scored 3 of their 8 goals, with the other 5 spread between Bamford and 4 other players. Their schedule has been easier though, with ManUtd, Liverpool and Arsenal the only top teams faced (GD: 1 for, 10 against) while doing better against the 5 bottom half teams faced (1 win, 3 draws, 1 loss). They've taken 1 point from their last 3 games.

I think he'll go 5-3-2 again, with maybe Gilmour in for McLean. I can't see him looking at a 5-man defence which just conceded 7 and has lost Gibson to suspension, and thinking "this side could really do with fewer defenders".

For me, I'd like to see more defined roles in midfield, and a better link between midfield and attack.

We need a DM. Either give Normann the role, even if it doesn't make the most of his abilities, or bring Sorensen in. Give whoever it is strict instructions to sit in front of the defence and not join attacks regardless. McLean, Gilmour, Lees-Melou, play two of the three ahead.

I'd like to see Sargent replaced by Dowell, I think that's more likely than Cantwell. Someone who can play balls to Pukki, receive the ballto feet and try to create. I think that'll help us offensively, help us keep possession, and actually help us defensively too. Ironically, despite playing more defenders in a 5-3-2 than in the 4-2-3-1, we're defending with fewer players. In the 4-2-3-1 all the attacking midfielders helped out defensively, leaving Pukki up top, but now both Pukki and Sargent are staying up field so we're defending with 8 outfielders not 9.

So I guess that ends up looking like a 5-1-2-1-1?

Strangely, a 5-1-2-1-1 is close to what Leeds have been playing lately and WhoScored agree with you about Dowell, but I don't think Normann will be left out.
