Apparently Frank Mcparland is waiting for a contract and until he is given his contract an appointment wont be made for a DoF or manager. Not sure if i believe that mind. Thoughts?
They're taking a lot of time for some things. But I am hoping that much like the takeover itself, we will see a flurry of activity all of a sudden.
It does make me slightly nervous however it is possible they want the three appointed at the same time. Makes sense for the DoF to be appointed first then the DoF to appoint the manager. I have also read and I think this is also bullshit that a lot of governance has to be put in place prior to appointments. That PIF like structure and a plan. Not just a case of shoot from the hip and get a manager and then see what happens. Almost like a business plan prior to agreements of contracts and release of funds. I have also heard that funds will be released on plans and milestones. I’m not talking 10m here and there I am talking 100’s of millions at a pop. Buy that the funds need to be based on projects and plans.
There's no real rush like, we have Chelsea next a game we are fully expected to lose. Then we have the international break. I'd want to have someone appointed before the break so he has a few weeks to settle in.
What's to be nervous about mate? We're the richest club in the galaxy lol There's nothing going to harm us even remotely. Our future is at the top end.
It’s still got to be manager and done properly. Look at some of the teams that have spent money. Ultimately to get us to where we want to be and within a good timeframe we need the right people.
He gets his teams pressing like mad bastards, a bit like Klopp, likes the gurgenpressing or whatever it’s called. Trains the players like mad men aswell, something which is needed. I watched a lot of Dortmund matches when he was in charge and I was always entertained.
Overrated manager by trendies who think he is the answer to all our problems. Truth be told, he's 63 and hasn't won anything of note. Piss poor in Europe. Sacked by 3 clubs. Poor transfer record. Few Hollywood wins obscure people views on him. He's not Klopp, he's not the grandmaster of geggenpressing.
Scraped relegation in the playoffs on the last day of the season. Finished 4th the next season, knocked out of cups early. Finished 8th the next season, knocked out of cups early doors. Finished 3rd the next season, knocked out of cups early doors. Lost 5 games in a row the following season and quit. Critics said he couldn't handle cups and the league at the same time and struggled massively in Europe.
What is it you love so much about Rafa mate? Genuine question. Your love for Rafa is like mine for my bird when she dresses up for Halloween
