Why would they be freebies? Surely the embargo loan will be paid as part of the deal.

The EFL test can be done at any time, it doesn't have to be done once the sale is agreed, as far as I know. If they want a quick resolution, their legal team should be working on it as the deal is going through.

Can’t see the Turks paying any bonus money even if we get promoted , like many business people they will stall and avoid it if they can . I think the Allams suspect this and will be happy with £30 million..

I was not referring to deals because of the embargo.

If it’s true that the Allams have managed to have Ilicali’s pants down to the tune of £50 million it really doesn’t augur well for any future transfer negotiations.

Think about our young players. The Allams would have been looking to pocket transfer fees and therefore settle for lower amounts. This way, we can accept larger fees and not have to worry about things like we do now.

My point is it looks like Ilicali is crap at negotiating.

It’s £30m, pretty much the going rate for any lower Championship club, the other £20m is only payable if we get to the Premier League (and is only 10% of the money promotion guarantees).

How do you work that out, £30 million for the Club if we go up then a further £20 million, i assume that would be of little significance to these people considering the money that would be coming in with promotion and owning a premiership club, especially if they are determined to make sure the club does get promoted.

Seems pretty good to me and seems well negotiated if that is the final figure.

the biggest worry is who will replace McCann ? A Turkish manager with no experience of English football ? We've been down that road with Slutsky . We need a manager with Championship experience to steady the ship & properly coach the young players. Who would fit the bill ?

At this time a pumpkin would be better never mind a foreign manager.

Who said they'd bring a Turkish manager in straight away? If I remember correctly he said that is what he'd like to happen.

How? The only way he pays 20m extra is if we go up this season.

He probably thinks that's as likely as I do.

Sunderland are valued at £30 mill, owning their own stadium, with a fanbase far bigger than ours and as likely to be a Championship club next season as we are. How many other club sales have you heard of where the seller insists on a further 66% future productivity bonus? It's typical of the Allams to refuse to relinquish control even after they've sold up.
