the extra time is easy for these guys. no money in it. A) bars in stadiums should be closed anyway by then. (in at least majority) b) tv doesn't like 30mins extra disruption c) you make no more ticket money do you? the assholeish decision to put back in a second leg semi final is the most utterly pointless decisions ever. Its just pure ticket and tv money decision with zero thought to the calendar or competition. this competition is on its last legs already. the european slot has been down graded to UEFA conference league so no big side wants that. (see spurs efforts) there's zero prize money from football league to entice a club to try. The thing clashes with CL groups/ europa groups etc. They need to increase relevance and work with the calendar here. I would love to see them try the early rounds of this comp as a preseason effort.

Expecting a few youngsters to play tonight but, if anyone, it'll be the older ones that let us down. Players like Ox and Origi who think they're above playing these games rather than seeing it as an opportunity to impress. I won't name Minamino in the same way because I think he genuinely tries whenever he plays.
Looking forward to seeing Morton play from the start. Last time when he came on as sub he looked decent. Back 4 look strong for a League Cup game.
Good to see an experienced defence which should hopefully keep it tight and allow the forwards to express themselves. Great chance for Morton to put a marker down as being Fabinho’s understudy with the injury prone midfielders.
