Explains a lot. Jones missing all of pre season too didn't help. I've said previous I get people were happy for him, great opportunity. ****ed us though, no doubt about it. We set off on a path with Jones last year, and then the most critical period of any football season, he misses. Not to have a go at him, you live once, but with our poor coaching resources, him being the one leading us down that path, it was a catastrophic decision for NUFC.

How good is it just looking forward to matches again, it's all the little things like that that Ashley took away.

Yea, we'll probably get beat but i'll enjoy tonight and the build up tomorrow.

    Howay the Lads.

Indeed. I've invited a lad tomorrow who hasn't been back in over 5 years. This lad travelled up and down the country for years watching the lads. The only other time he came close to chucking his ticket was under Allardyce because he said it wasn't even close to resembling football.

He has literally sent me a thousand texts this week asking every detail from how much is the beer (its free for him so he was obviously delighted) to who the ex pro might be who comes round hospitality (howay man I have no ****ing idea!)

I said "****ing hell mate you're a bit over excited for a trip to hospitality. Its just food and beer really!" He said "Hospitality? **** that mate, I appreciate it but I'm just absolutely buzzing to be going to a game where I know he doesn't ****ing own us!! You could stick me in the gods with the away fans I wouldn't give a ****."

That summed up to me what the departure of el fattie meant to a lot of people.

I think that's what a lot of fans from other clubs don't get, plus the daft ****s in the media.

Yea, it's great being the richest club in the world, of course it is, but we haven't even been able to look forward to games properly for ****ing years, well i haven't anyway, those little things that other fans take for granted we simply haven't had, and that's why it feels so good now.

Just feeling like we are an actual football club again who will try to compete, that's all we want and now we've got it.

Essentially in life there is always going to be someone telling you what they would've done in your shoes!

You never know until it's happening! That's when you find out.

Only fans of each club know what it's like to support their club, i think most real fans of every club get it, it's just the media that haven't a clue.

Nobody ever has a clue what it's like walking in another man's shoes, but everyone thinks they do. :emoticon-0148-yes:

I have a bit of a clue. My mum's boyfriend died and he has a brand new pair of shoes that he bought for almost a grand and had worn once or twice. I've worn those

Good morning my fellow tea towel wearers.
Such is the joy of our new dawn I'm lumping this month's pension on a thoroughly entertaining 3-1 win to the lads.

    Welcome @Tackleberry

Good choice of a team although I’d swap Hayden for a sent off Shelvey. Probably be as useful.

    Arrrggghhh no to Ritchie
I'd also not have Willock starting until he's fit and doesn't need injections in his toe
