Well I did think that but it really depends what we want. I don't have any issues with Ronaldo being our centre forward. Or indeed Cavani same role. Or them sharing it. I don't see the problem here? I mean, Ronaldo at his age must realise that he can't play every minute of every game.
Not sure who else he'd prefer to use at centre forward? He'd be mental in not using Ronaldo, it just wouldn't make sense. Could go Greenwood I suppose but I doubt he'd place all that trust in him myself. This is of course where Conte is the risk, that he'd want to sign his own players immediately.
I will point you at the man who has been directly responsible for many of our problems over the last 7 years, Ed Woodward (not not the equaliser, the little ****). He is scheduled to leave at the end of the year and Arnold is already starting to make the right noises. Let's hope he is at least half as good as Gill, that should be enough to sort the job out.
No, I mentioned him in the post immediately above. I know the person I was in a conversation with also understands that Cavani is not really a nailed on every game choice. You don't though, clearly.
knew i ****ed up because i posted before reading the full thread. I do know Cavani is not a nailed on starter every game, i also know that Ronaldo shouldn't be either. Both fantastic players who can make things happen but only in short shifts.
I still think that we have (had) Haaland the headband lined up for summer. I also think that Ole is part of the deal - if Ole goes, haaland goes to one of our competitors, Fulham perhaps. I think the glazers will keep Ole on board until that deal is done and then **** him off. Just saying.
I apologise, you are a mod, therefore you are, of course correct. In future I will refrain from posting anything that you might disagree with.
Ed Woodward is the man who has overseen all the **** the club has suffered. He was totally out of his depth yet he had full control with no one with any football experience advising him. When Gill left together with Ferguson, the club was virtually rudderless. It’s one thing having someone with insight about his limitations and therefore seeking outside expertise and another who thinks he knows it all. Mistakes upon mistakes have been and are being made. Has his replacement got any experience of running a big football club? Like everybody else at this club, from top to bottom, it’s jobs for the boys.
