She’s been a nurse for 41 years and is as tough as they come, but she’s been in tears several times recently. There just doesn’t seem to be any end in sight, contrary to what we all thought just a few weeks ago. At least she’s had her booster jab now, anyway.
According to Brian Moore in his legal Twitter feed, serving a bogus writ is an offence and they should be prosecuted. I hope it happens but reckon it won’t …..
A plum like that would doubtless relish the publicity and claim martyrdom, so probably not worth the effort. I almost want him to get seriously ill with Covid and need those hospital staff to keep him alive, but that’s a rotten thought so I’ll drop it.
That doesn't make good reading. We've shelved plans for a visit to England this winter and see how things go for early spring. Numbers increasing here in the Netherlands to with further travel restrictions similar to Morroco expected. That applies to the UK to.
I can foresee other countries joining with Morocco and blocking travel again. So much was avoidable, but the Tories seem hellbent on pursuing “herd immunity” for a disease that infects people who have had it before and keeps on creating new variants that are more contagious and could ultimately be more deadly.
Nail on head Badge. The only way we can get ever back to anything resembling normal life is to stop the virus spreading and mutating. Encouraging dickish behaviour seems to be Plan A right now.

Covid in Scotland: Hundreds refused entry in vaccine passport 'chaos' - BBC News If vaccine passports get implemented for Premier League games it will be complete chaos. Wouldn't be surprised if it turned violent at some games. I just don't see how you check every single person entering a football stadium of those sizes.
Beginning to look like the influx of UK tourists, to Benidorm, could be the reason for an upsurge in Covid cases. https://www.abc.es/espana/comunidad...cion-turismo-ingles-202110221307_noticia.html The weekend saw Benidorm officially pass from the category of a high risk of contagion area, to that of an extreme risk area, with a rate of infection six times the national average. The national press headlines (such as above) point out that the rise started with the "reactivation of tourism from the UK". Perhaps it would have been a good idea to have insisted on negative pre departure PCR tests from the UK?
I think they do require test and/or vaccination certs. "The Spanish government requires all arrivals to Spain from the UK to present on entry a pre-travel declaration form and one of the following: a negative COVID-19 test; or proof of vaccination. See Testing and vaccination requirements for arrivals from the UK for details." https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/spain/entry-requirements
It’s a joke at the moment to get into the stadium. The queues at Chapel are ridiculously long week after week. You started with showing the passport and it will be chaos
I've found the queues are long but they do move quickly. That will change if they introduce the passport though.
Ooooft. Footfall 40% down on previous? That's quite substantial and puts nightclub owners at an unfair disadvantage to other hospitality venues. Thought you were certain this would happen and work btw?
I don't think I said it would work. Correct me if I'm wrong. I just said it will happen and I still think it will.
