Almiron stays for me. Had a good run of form last year in his actual position, hasn’t been played there since. Also it depends what system we will be playing. If we are going to be a pressing team, then he definitely stays. a good manager will be able to improve him too. He’s not a bad player and can definitely get better IMO
He's usually won the ball and sprinted the full length of the pitch because the nearest nufc player is 50 yards away.. He's a key player. Max was ****e the other day.. Almiron created more problems in 20 mins than he did all game
I still wouldn't want him here long term, and would hope for better, that's all I'm saying. In the middle of the park he's a little dynamo, but he often looks weak as piss when trying to make something happen in the final 3rd. He's not a bad player, but I would seriously hope we get better in the future.
Agreed, and we'll see what happens going forward, but like I said, I wouldn't bank on Almiron, I'd already be looking for better. It's not his fault, and he deserves a chance in a more forward position to prove himself, but I haven't seen anything yet that suggests he's going to be good enough going forward for the team we want to build to get us up the table. We want and need better.
With the money we have at our disposal, I'd hope for better. Not saying he's bad, but if Almiron is as good as it gets than that sucks. He's canny but you cannot just post links to a decent night playing against South American clubs and be like "that's what he can do in the prem". Prem and international aren't the same.

He's surrounded by **** in a side with 30% of the ball. When he's not he's a very very dangerous player
I'm willing to give him a chance in a better side, but all I'm saying is we shouldn't be halting our search for options just because we have Almiron. I think Almiron could do well, but he hasn't done enough to prove to me that we shouldn't be looking for better and that we should just settle for him.
He shouldn't have to you should know a good all around player when you see one. We're not going to suddenly become Barcelona overnight.. We need 25 players no worse than almiron. Get rid of the ****e and he'll do better just like the others that are better than the ****e around them.. There's not many.
I'm not saying get rid of him Immediately, but I was thinking long term, that's all. I don't envision him being in a starting 11 that we want to see, and I am going to assume he'd not want to be a squad player. Maybe I should have created a "maybe and lets see how it goes section" for Almiron. Because if how he's performed so far is the best he can do, then I want better.
Like the much maligned Wijnaldum I always thought he would be good in a decent team. Same I think with Almiron
They all need to be phased out, Wilson can remain if he stays fit, Dub maybe as back up to a new keeper. ASM if he is going to stop sulking about cabbage head not being here, if not, he can do one aswell.
