I'm hoping to get some post McCann symptoms anytime soon... euphoria, hope, pain relief, relief in general, optimism....
Well I started coughing a bit last Tuesday. Took a lateral flow test and was negative twice - on Tues and Weds. But then Thursday tested positive. Confirmed with a positive PCR test over the weekend. The cough only lasted a couple of days though - had a few mild cold-like symptoms over the weekend along with complete loss of taste and smell. Today all I have is a bit of vertigo-like headspin. No fever, still able to function and work from home normally - I've honestly had colds that felt worse. I am fully vaxxed though of course.
I just thought I would share this. For a while now I have suffered a shortage of breath and my heart racing. As I think most of you know, over the past few months I have had various tests, culminating with having a coronary Angiogram. This was deemed necessary, as after having an MRI scan, due to some calcification on the outside of the heart, the MRI scan couldn't see below whether there was any blockage or not. The result of my Angiogram resulted in no change since I have the last one 15 years ago after a mild heart attack, so from that point of view the heart had not got any worse. So the question was why this breathlessness and heart rate racing? The French doctor has now said, that it looks as if it may have been caused by Myocarditis. It looks as if my problems started after having the 3rd dose of COVID Pizer vaccine, and even though it is yet to be 100% proved, it is starting to look as if these vaccines are causing heart problems. They are trying to regulate things with medication, which has helped a bit, but having seen what is going on in Australia now, whereby Pizer and Moderna are being taken to task, as there has been an increase in heart related problems and deaths, it looks as if this may well have caused my problems.
First things first John,I'm glad you are well and that they seem to have identified what is causing your problem. It's good that you,and they, now know what is wrong and they can medicate you as required,it must be a huge relief that you've had a diagnosis and they are treating that. I'm slightly puzzled though as to how your French Dr has arrived at this conclusion? Is there a way of definitively identifying that a vaccine has caused your problems? My Father had myocarditis for years in his later life and passed away long before the covid pandemic(not through myocarditis, but old age in general and dementia). To my knowledge it can be attributed to having had a viral or bacterial infection at some point? Anyway,I'm not hosting a Q and A session here, more curious as to how they have come to that conclusion regarding the vaccine? Stay Well Ric.
After spending almost a month in HRI last year, with a blood clot on my liver, I had people queueing up to tell me it was down to the vaccine. Even after explaining to them that my consultant had been warning me for over five years that this was likely to happen if I didn't completely cease all alcohol, they still remain convinced that it was down to the vaccine. Even people who had no idea if I'd actually had the vaccine, were certain it was down to the vaccine. All vaccines have side effects and can cause other health issues, so clearly some people have been adversely affected by having them, but it seems to be a lot of peoples go to explanation for pretty much every ailment going at the moment.
Sadly, I had little option, in the end I was left with a choice between not drinking any more, or dying.
Not a difficult choice then OLM,must be difficult though? I used to hit it hard when I was younger but nowadays I can take it or leave it.I still have the odd prolonged session but other times I can go a fortnight without touching it. Anyway, stick to the plan and stay well
Cheers, everyone keeps telling me I'll get used to it, but I'm pretty sure I won't, it pisses me off continuously.
It's become a forbidden fruit by necessity, that's the hard part for you to take in,especially if you are a social drinker. You're sensible enough to know that if you drink again you're going to give yourself huge problems...I've lost a few good mates in the last couple of years who simply couldn't stop after being told to. You HAVE,they couldn't...respect.
