Completely agree, with the analysis of the match and the analysis of the witless losers singing songs about our manager being sacked, who got a resounding "**** off" from me. McCann is clearly struggling right now, singing that sort of ****e won't help at all. And neither will arranging some sort of half-arsed protest next Saturday, which I see on facebook is now being considered. McCann isn't helping himself though. Smallwood is clearly off the pace at this level and practically everything he did yesterday ended in him getting tackled because he just doesn';t have the speed of thought and action to thrive. We ideally need to give Greaves a two or three match rest, he looked utterly shellshocked when Adebayo was throwing him around - thankfully the big man was taken off at half time and his replacement Jerome hung around on the wing. Wilks is not playing his way back to form, he is going backwards if anything. He needs to come off the bench a few times - like he did against Boro - and rebuild his confidence. Get Cannon and Williams (or Longman, remember him?) in the team. I'd give Eaves a start too though that's a fine margin compared to Magennis. Pull the wide men back ten yards and start the game with a more defensive mindset, earn the right to play. I reckon we have enough to survive this season, but we need to withdraw a bit and rebuild.
Pull the wide men back has been bloody obvious for god knows how long Al. yet he won’t do it. agree with Wilks needs dropping. Not sure about longman mate I’ve seen absolutely nothing from him. We were in trouble when we played boro yet the fans were completely behind the team and all could see how well they did and how we played, plt apart
I wondered the same, but no he's not. Just left out of the squad, probably told mccann he's clueless.
[QUOTE="Urika Peece., post: 15288369, member: 1022928" About two dozen young lads, and credit to them for going, chanting 'Your getting sacked in the morning' then in the next breath 'Bradley is a Tiger' Bradley is Luton's thug of a centre half who left his mark on every one of our players he came into contact with. Totally classless.[/QUOTE] While its fair to say that some fans applauded the team at the end, recognising how much effort they'd put in, the other thing that was classless was some chanting 'You're not fit to wear the shirt.' A crass , easy jibe which makes no sense when a team are clearly giving it everything and not coming up short for lack of effort. Must say I also find the black humour of ' how *** must you be , we're drawing away,' etc etc all contributes negatively. If I were a young player like Greaves or KLP who have dreamt about playing for Hull City, or indeed a Docherty or a Honeyman busting a gut to try and turn things round, I'd feel pretty sore about that. I suspect that's why some made a special effort to applaud the team off to balance it out a bit.
Yep, all the sort of things the manager should be considering and then coming up with the best plan given the resources he's got. But he doesn't. That's why there's calls for McCann's head and potential protests .... before it's too late. What are fans supposed to do, just applaud politely as if everything is ok? Honestly, how bad does it have to get? And as for this abuse to his son. Do any of us know yet what it actually was and from whom? I don't agree with personal abuse but so many are getting so wound up about something that we haven't really got a clue what it actually was. We all take the piss out of others at times, and for all we know this might just be kids doing the same. He was wrong to make it public, and I question why the hard man from Belfast felt the need to say it.
When have I suggested that? And if you think that because his dad is from Belfast a young lad should put up with abuse online, you’re a ****ing weirdo.
I didn't say you had! And I didn't say abuse to his son was right. I said we don't know anything about what the supposed abuse was nor who it was from, and that imo McCann was wrong to put it out there. I question what he's hoping to achieve. He doesn't even have the balls to face up to RH or HDM. Hes an embarrassment on and off the field.
Let's hope so -it's a ****ish chant sung by morons of any club about their own manager, let alone ours.
should we sing “5yr deal” instead? it’s not working for the clown….15 points from 100avail in the championship….not good enough. Tactically inept. NEXT!!
You are right. We should be singing "we want Grant out". That would make more sense and be more technically correct.
What ****ing good is baying for the manager's head doing? Is it making him manage better? Is it motivating the players? And given the limbo the club is in regards ownership how much influence/impact does it have (as a fraction of 1%)? People talk about fans being the 12th man- some of ours are that, but for the opposition
