    Just shows the gulf getting bigger between championship and EPL for me. As a club do you throw a few millions to just try and stay up and have a depressing season into the ‘bargain’. Or give it a go with the players you have, still have a depressing season, but not stretch yourself financially (and keep trying to build a team that can yo-yo its way back up until you can make a go to come a ‘successful’ 17th in the EPL?). Oh, and if you do have any good players they’ll be snapped up as you head downwards. What a happy situation for any board to have to make choices like those!

    Think Solskjaer is a clown but fitting Ronaldo into this team was always going to be difficult and I doubt he really wanted him. United decided they had to have him to stop City.

    Against a team as good as Liverpool you can’t afford to have such a passenger without the ball.
