My gut feeling is telling me that ultimately the government don't want anything affecting their million/billion pound trade deals with the Saudi's so treat them well and overlook everything

It’s blatantly obvious and that’s why I can’t see other clubs supporters letting it go. We might as well live in a lawless society if this is what’s allowed to happen.

 

It's wrong that something should be declared, or implied, to be racism before it's investigated ...

... to announce that 'racism won't be tolerated' suggests someone has.already made their mind up.

 

Everyone is entitled to beleive in what they want, religion whatever, have their own opinion in my eyes.....but the way those lot are defending them, like they were not already deluded enough....give it 10 years & seriously it will be written in history they came in & turned gravy into wine!!

Despite money destroying the game I'd be reluctantly happy for Sunderland to buy a trophy, if that's the only way, so I'm jealous of that ...

The way things are these days it'll take loads to buy anything but if the Saudis had bought us, I don't think it would've sat good with me. Like you, I'm quite happy with the owners we have. It's been reported that they're loaded and we might need that in the long run, however, the way they've set the club up and what they've done behind the scenes shows that they're here for the long term

 

Part of me wants to believe that this was Ashley's parting gift and final kick in the knackers to them for the **** he got.

He sold to PIF knowing what a **** storm it would cause and that they would go from "everyone's second club" to the most hated team on the planet, who's every victory is tainted by the actions of their owners.

When the corruption between the PL and PIF comes out, I'd love him to release a statement just saying "serves you right you ungrateful bastards"

 

This is the first time I've been content with the owners for many years.

Drummaville were fun but obviously a bunch of lads having a laugh, Short was negligent in the extreme and Donald was a snake oil salesman ...

... KLD put in a proper structure before he started making football decisions.

It's fascinating to watch and wonderful to see the club being run properly from top to bottom.

I was always jealous of the money Chelsea got as I wanted us to be owned by the mega rich and I don’t go down the glory hunter route about supporters. But the Saudi stuff is news it’s not suspicions it’s there for all to see. They’re vile.

 

I think that if it was racist then they would have already said so. As it is I think the police saying they are investigating whilst saying racism won't be tolerated is just a way of deflecting any pressure whilst simultaneously covering their backs.

I don't expect this to go to court as I can't see anything racist in the banner, but I would love to see all the banner's points investigated under oath in open court - I'm sure that Amnesty International would be a very informative witness!

 

The good thing about this is that the whole of football can see what a set of ****s mag fans are and that we’ve been right all along.
