Also, avoiding scrutiny sends the wrong message to the squad that you can bury your had in the sand when the going gets tough.

It would be intesting to see how he handles the North East press if he can't cope with the Hull press.

If/when he leaves us then hopefully he will take some time to reflect, learn and grow. Grant may not be doing great for us ATM but he had a cracking season last season and deserves a chance somewhere else

I'm of the opinion that our manager shouldn't have survived our last relegation season.

Can't argue with last season, albeit in a lower League, the standard of which is poor.

This season shows clearly that he is not up to the job.

He ain't gonna turn it round by the way.

    So here's the scenarios.

We get bought out. New set up. New manager. Who knows?

The same owners. New manager. Maybe we improve.

The same owners. Same manager. We will be relegated.

Indonesian fish curry with coconut basmati, if you're interested.

All cooked from scratch don't ya know.

agree, today I saw a team who will be back in Div 1 if we keep McCann as manager. Continuing to play 433 as he did today there will not be 3 teams worse than City come May. I saw attacking players played out of position & no command of midfield . KLP spent more time in defence & on the wing than he did in Luton’s 18 yard box. At times Wilks was our only player in the Luton box & he should have been subbed at half time for lack of effort & strolling about looking bored (also looks like he’s been on the pies). A team that looked clueless going forward & bereft of ideas. Really quite depressing.

Barnsley get a positive result tomorrow vs. Blunts and its only Derby's 12 points deduction between us and rock bottom.
My 20th prediction is looking about as likely as my lotto numbers coming up tonight!

God he is awful. He is the worst presenter I have ever listened to.
He's even worse than Owen Wyn Evans the weather guy. Both are obviously on due to box ticking.

So all we need to do is have nice and lovely media people and we'll just shoot up the league?

It's all about the media and bad interviews

    Who knew...

Hasn't he spent 2 and a half years reflecting, learning and growing and decided its Burnsys fault?

Luton Town manager Nathan Jones told BBC Three Counties Radio:

"It's come on the back of a three-game week with two away games. Any win would have been pleasing today.

"I thought we were the better side in the first half. A little bit more composure and we might have scored again.

"They are fighting for their lives - a tough side to play against.

"To take seven points from three games in a week, I'm absolutely delighted however they come."

    Hull City manager Grant McCann:

"Luton were better than us in the first half. We gave them the upper hand with the goal.

"Then we are in an uphill battle, trying to come back from 1-0 down away from home.

"The boys rallied, they kept going, we just couldn't get the goal.

"We are putting some really good passes and plays together against some very good Championship teams. We just don't seem to be finding our killer edge at the minute.

I kind of feel for Mrs McCann tonight if there is one, and/or the cat. Can only imagine what the family atmosphere will be like.

From what I saw, apart from the “lady” from York wanting a chat, I hope it wasn’t anything urgent, 2nd half was one way City traffic, to nowhere really. Admittedly Luton didn’t turn up 2nd half, but for all our possession, huff, puff & endeavour, no idea. We just don’t look like scoring, whether that’s lack of confidence, self belief, belief in what they’re asked to do; and that’s down to the Manager to reinstate/rebuild. Just trotting out the lines every week, they have to believe in what they’re doing and it will soon change fortunes doesn’t cut it.

Grant is seriously out of his depth, and for his own & family wellbeing, he should take time out to relax, reflect, & refresh, and to give City the best chance of recovery with a different voice and leadership style. I think most of us can recall as an employee, when things aren’t going great, and you hear the same things, same tone, every week, there’s only so much you take in before turning off.

    Now strictly unavailable.

If I was his missus and kids, I’d be begging him to let it got and jack it in. Not condoning arseholes abusing his son online, but if I had a young lad who was getting abused online because of my own failings in a job, I’d just walk away. I think he’s an arrogant **** but his family don’t deserve the stress of the job.

He won't voluntarily walk away without his rolling year being paid up.
