Thought all the players who started di well except James and Harrison because they didnt create anything and no balls through to Rodrigo again. Second half Roberts was garbage again and after 93 attempts of convincing me, no he cannot do it at ghis level. Rodrigo was our best player until Gelhardt arrived. Our defence was great and even Shaks sorted himself out in the second half with Summerville in front of him. Struijk did a decent job hence no Phillips coming on, Llorente and Cooper immense but what a difference a natural goalscorer is to a team, even a young kid who doesn't give a shyt who he plays against or how big they are. He makes stuff happen everytime hes on the pitch. 30 minutes of Joffy is worth more than 93 games of Tyler
He should have been given an opportunity when he was playing well and banging in the goals. Players who are out of form should not play, or at least be given a proper opportunity. Look at what Jelhardt and Summerville did when they came on. They changed the games dynamics. Imagine if both had started last week at St Mary's?
Now this is where Bielsa has again made a huge mistake and I don’t mean not starting Joffy. Yesterday Phillips could have got 20 minutes or 45 minutes in the U23s but he was saved for the bench with no intention of being used, it just doesn’t make sense. Fans everywhere were saying what about starting Joffy drop Rodrigo back, play Raphinha at 10 we nearly got Raphinha at 10 when the squad was announced but no, James was occupying the slot. Well I'd like to applaud Bielsa for having the courage to use Gelhardt as his final sub instead of using his best player Phillips to come on and manage the game.
Wherever we finish this season we will always be top of the League with our Fans. very proud of each and everyone of them today. goose bump stuff. We gave all out there today and were very unlucky especially with the line up. Raphinha injury looked nasty hope nothing is broken. We done all we could just didn't have that bit of knowhow infront of goal. but as I said to my mate maybe if Joffy came on a bit earlier who knows we could of broke these down earlier. Going to be a hard slog with all these injuries but if we fight like that we have to remain positive.
