Gaffers programme notes https://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2021/october/charlton-athletic/johnson-notes-charlton
Brilliant mate, I hope you have a brilliant day and ... ... why not go for a goal each, 3-0 and top of the league
Just reading all the comments on here and being excited again by SAFC. Is there a better feeling? Matches cannot come around fast enough for my liking or as I suspect the lads.
Going to the AFC Wimbledon v Wigan game today. Hoping for a home win to help us and also hoping it's not like the last time I went as it was during the Portsmouth debacle.
Great thread. I look forward to seeing your team go up and give The Saudis a hiding next season in The Championship.
Watching chavski v Norwich, ie top of league v bottom... there is a huge gulf in class... Will we see that today?
So - my first home game for a while. Stopped over last night and went into the town for the first time in an absolute age. The difference between us and other clubs at our level became immediately obvious - match day 11.00 am and almost every group of people had at least one person with SAFC gear on. I was in Peterborough on the Saturday of their last home game - virtually the same time - not a Posh kit in sight… The city and it’s people are Red n White through and through - very few other places bleed for their team like Sunderland does. That’s why the feel good factor flows to the team and why failure in previous years hurts so much. Anyway - time for a pint - 3-0 to us HTL
Grandson decided on Thursday to get tickets for Morecambe v Plymouth, sold out, could do with the Shrimpers doing us a favour today.
My predicted away team for today.... MacGillivray, Matthews, Lavelle, Pearce, Purrington, Gilbey, Lee, Watson, Leko, Washington, Stockley, 4-2-3-1 Subs - Arter, Blackett-Taylor, Famewo, Henderson, Gunter, Clare, Davison Hopefully that will be solid enough to keep the deficit to under 3 goals, which I'd take right now. Fantastic ticket sales today both home and away support, should be a cracking atmosphere. And congrats on selling us George Dobson. You did yourselves a favour there.
