I know stranger things have happened, but can't see us getting anything from this game....our last two games have showed us going backwards IMO.. Be interesting how NP will set us up..
If we intend to spend 65% of the game defending as we did against Forest then we could be doomed to a thrashing because we are pretty lousy at falling back. On the other side we could get the ugliest win of the season. When you support Bristol City it is a good idea to be disappointed prior to every match, particularly if it is at home. Away win anyone?
Afraid not Mike, your first prediction is more likely. A thrashing it is, I’ve a very bad feeling about today.
3-2 to us. Can’t see it, but if we win it will be that with Callum Robinson scoring. He always scores against us.
We will be well beaten today. Our inability to retain possession is easily found out against the better (and some average) sides in this division. The only reason Fulham didn't bury us was due to them being profligate in front of goal. If we play Cris Martin up front it will be more long balls to him as a way out of defence, which is so predictable that every team sees it coming a mile off and we lose possession and the opposition come right back at us. Play Wells up top and have a 3 behind him of Scott, Palmer and Weimann and actually try playing the ball to feet for a change. The few times we did this to Wells against Forest he stretched them and caused problems that a long ball to Martin won't do.
The expected Bristol City team to face West Brom with defensive improvement needed Our predicted XI as the West Country men head to The Hawthorns on Saturday aiming for a fifth win in seven games https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/expected-bristol-city-team-face-6103194 Predicted Bristol City XI (5-3-2): Bentley; Vyner, Kalas, Atkinson, Baker, Dasilva; James, Massengo, Weimann; Wells, Martin
I can’t see anything than a sound whipping from this game. 3-0 the Baggies. I really hope I’m wrong……..
Funny you should say that it was my thoughts exactly, and the news that is breaking regarding S&D and a few of the cryptic comments from certain players over the same period does make you wonder it all fell out of bed starting with Millwall game ... Peterbro was a fluke ?! THEN 2 home defeats, OK Bournemouth maybe best hoped for was a draw ... but Florest should never have beeen a defeat .. most fans said how poor performances were in these 4 games!! especially last 2 14 shots 4 on target and about 50 mins possession from 180 less than 28% of the play
thinking about changing my goal time .... will come at us like the mallard in full flight ... toot tooot
