Just watched The Chestnut Man on Netflix. 8/10. Danish police/murder series. Binged all 6 episodes in one go, 6 hrs! Would have rated it higher, but there was one daft bit in it which annoyed me. Worth a watch though. Next is the 2nd series of Locke & Key
Been watching some horror films. Most of them I've seen before but not for a good while ... The Conjuring ... very good, atmospheric slow burn stuff The Conjuring 2 ... also very good, perhaps better than the first, more jump scares and definitely more tense Get Out ... great film, interesting ideas and concept, not particularly 'scary' or frightening but enjoyable Us ... yeah, this is still awful, same director as above, don't know how he botched it so badly Hereditary ... saw this in the cinema in 2018 and thought it was pretty powerful, watched it last night for a second viewing and realised it's just two hours of absolutely nothing, total crap. Shows the effect where you see a film can have sometimes The Night of the Hunter ... classic film
