They don't get any easier, how this lot failed to get promotion last season is a mystery. Again the threat from the wingers is key, Gary Roberts once of Accie Stanley will provide the pace and then up front there is Jordan Rhodes. They've not lost since Adam was a lad and some how don't think they will lose on Saturday. We may have Billy Paynter by then on loan from Leeds, but it's defender and midfielders who tackle is what is required.

The first five minutes summed up the game a Turner howler gifted the Terriers an early lead Rhodes having the simple task of rolling the ball into an empty net from 18 yards within minutes Hume's deflected shot was going in when Town keeper Bennett pulled of a super save to stop the equaliser. This lifted the team and for about 20 minutes and we looked the better side with Coutts getting joy down the right wing. Gradually the home side started to get on top and a couple of efforts went close before Rhodes easily out jumped McLean to give the side an unbeatable lead. For the first 15 minutes a set of dustbins would have put in a better performance than the defence as Huddersfield found acres of space down the right hand, the ball found its way to Rhodes who ambled round Carlisle to easily score his third. This was the cue for the part timers to start to leave the ground what thye missed was a spirted comeback as we actually began to play some decent passing football and Tsoumou finished off a pass from Hume by reducing the arrears. A free kick from Daley was excellently saved by Bennett if that it had gone in it would have been an interesting finish but it didn't as Huddersfield coasted to three points. Seven goals conceeded in the last two games and we've created most of them. -----

As you say plumber, an interesting report and one that matched the report from my grandsons who were at the match as guests of an Huddersfield company. Sad to say that the comments from representatives of the company were not complementary. They know what this league is about and in their view the team is going nowhere ,unless it stops feeling sorry for itself and gets it together ; starting at the back. For them apparently, the major difference between the two was the back four and in particular in goal. Ours looked a bit suspect (not helped by the early howler) while theirs pulled off a number of important saves. Next two games are now vital. Both look comfortable on paper but we all know that position means nothing, especially when playing us. No doubt we will give a goal start or two to make it exiting.
