Jeff Stelling predicts West Brom v Bristol City scoreline
Jeff Stelling predicts West Brom to lose their unbeaten Championship home record when Bristol City make the trip to The Hawthorns on Saturday.

Valerien Ismael’s side suffered their second league defeat of the 2021/22 campaign on Wednesday night as Swansea City came from behind to win 2-1 in South Wales.

However, Albion are yet to taste defeat on their own patch in the Championship, with a 6-0 League Cup hammering at the hands of Arsenal the only blemish in B71 since May.

However, Sky Sports Soccer Saturday host Stelling predicts that run to come to an end against Nigel Pearson’s Bristol City side.

Stelling has backed the Robins to win 2-1 in his weekly Super6 prediction.

    Away stars come to town

Bristol are currently in the midst of a poor run of form with just two wins from their last eight games, including three defeats from their last four.

However, considering their 16th-place position in the Championship table, the Robins have a remarkable record away from home.

Only Bournemouth [17] and Nottingham Forest [13] have picked up more away points than Bristol City’s 12, a stark contrast to their home form that has seen them accrue a mealy four points.

West Brom, though, are a tough nut to crack at The Hawthorns, with Derby County and Millwall the only teams to deny them maximum points there so far this season.

Saturday’s clash looks set to be a tight affair if the statistics are anything to go by.

I can't see anything other than a WBA win.
However I saw the other night against Forest an 11 who gave their absolute all. Man for man Forest were better as no doubt are WBA. We're seriously lacking quality throughout our squad but hard work and sheer bloody mindedness can sometimes and occasionally win out.
    Fingers, legs, everything crossed.

    Paul Simpson leaves City
    Friday, October 22nd 2021

Paul Simpson has left Bristol City by mutual agreement.
The club wishes Paul well for the future and thanks him for his 14-month service during a period of transition for the Robins.
Simpson arrived from the Football Association in August 2020 to support then newly-appointed Head Coach Dean Holden.
With the recruitment of Nigel Pearson as permanent Manager in May and Curtis Fleming as Assistant Manager last month, Simpson was re-titled First Team Coach.
City CEO Richard Gould said: “Paul has been a great support during his time with us and we are very thankful for all he has done for the club. We wish him all the best for the future.”

every so many hundreds of years the impossible, against all odds happens ..... when you predict it you are remembered, some times even become the source of hero worship, or go down in history as a genius ...when you predict something and it doesnt happen no one really takes any notice .........

You’ve been intoxicated by the same delusional drug Red Robin has been taking Wiz.
We’re no better than before - get used to it.
It’s a Bristol City thing……the Johnsons is as good as it gets for us.

I’m desperately hoping that we find the ‘golden key’ but it seems that the gods of football are always against us.
We want the same thing Wiz.
What I DO believe is that changing the manager hasn’t been the ‘golden bullet’ some people believed it would be.
I’m NOT suggesting we should have kept LJ but I AM suggesting that NP isn’t much better.
