Clive's a lot happier this week....especially in his slagging off of Mowbray and his tactics! Chair magic frees QPR from Championship purgatory - Report Wednesday, 20th Oct 2021 23:17 by Clive Whittingham Ilias Chair's fourth goal in as many games got QPR a deserved late victory against the latest opponent to turn up at Loftus Road looking for a single point. Eyes down, look in, quiet at the back of class please, as we revise The Championship, module 1.1. This week’s case study is Tony Mowbray’s Blackburn Rovers. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/footb...frees-qpr-from-championship-purgatory--report
Agree with Clive's every word other than '...the below par Dozzell...' If there is a standard below the stuff we've already seen by Mr Dozy in his few outings I hope I never live to see it. Amos on the other hand was a revelation and represents a tough choice on Johansen's return.
Have to agree. Along with Thomas, Dozzell has thoroughly underwhelmed me on the 3 or 4 occasions I've watched him. At least Thomas, though sometimes resembling a headless chicken, makes runs and puts in the yards. I don't see what Dozzell contributes at all. He always appears lethargic and uninterested.....even his facial expressions make me think that he's bored and would rather be at home with his feet up watching TV. Hopefully some of you that see the matches live and see the whole pitch can correct me that there is a player in there somewhere? Very encouraging the way that Amos has returned to the game
Seems that we've upset a Nation again........ Some peeps in Chile not happy with the way Uncs kind of left their lad Brereton Diaz in his wake with that wonderful piece of skill the other night....... This is a fun response...
It was actually Amos who unlocked things yesterday, because he started dragging the game over towards Adomah. That's when things really got moving. But then, ten mins later, Warburton thought it was a good idea to pull Ball off and make Amos disappear into a defensive role, cutting off the route to Adomah, cutting off the crosses to the striker we'd just decided to bring on
I wouldn't write off Moses just yet, he's got talent, skill and speed. Suspect he has a confidence problem. Wallace put in poor displays when he started in the Championship last season, but ended it one of our best.
I gave Amos my man of the match if you read my report ! I'd like to see both start on Saturday and leave Johansen and Dozell on the bench
Wallace wasn't fit that's why, Moses has done nothing in 4 seasons anywhere ! I don't think he's a gifted player at all and his best days are definitely behind him.
That's a tad unduly harsh about Moses....... been hampered by injury last few years, still only 28 and if managed correctly could have a decent career in front of him....... that's the thing that gets me, we write players off after a hand full of games, the lad deserves a chance and we have a fairly good record now of picking up players who are either discarded by other clubs or have had injury problems and turning them into decent players....... our medical staff deserve a lot of credit.......
I'm not writing him off I just don't think he's good enough for this league in his current state. He has offered next to nothing going forward so far and has had many defensive lapses. It looks to me like the Centre halves have no confidence in him at all now, and every time an attack comes down his side, it's panic stations all round. I'm not writing Kakay off either but he's not up to this league either at the moment. I'm simply saying that if those 2 play regularly at wing backs then we will ship a ****load more goals, maybe a back 4 would help them more. I'd been calling for Adomah to start for weeks now, and it baffles me why he hasn't, he's the best winger we have at the club and one of the best crosses. If we are going to try to outscore teams then surely he should be starting, better still as an out and out winger. Would petrify teams
