I’m still surprised by Howden’s statement not long ago that the dressing room is still fairly harmonious and the players back McCann. It’s strange. The players at Manure contributed to Mourinho’s sacking by going over his head to the owners, but the same squad (mostly) haven’t done the same to Solskjær, who is a much worse and far less successful manager. Pogba butted heads with Mou but hasn’t done so with the baby-faced Norwegian PE teacher. Maybe certain players like a weak-as-piss ‘nice guy’/‘yes man’ as much as owners do. I’ve had supervisors and managers who were nice enough people but not great at their jobs because you could get away with murder if you wanted to and walk all over them. Nobody likes the miserable disciplinarian, but they tend to run a tight ship better.
Lets face it, he's a League 1 manager, gets good results there but out of his depth in the Championship, no doubt now. It's perfectly possible to admire him in L1 but despair in the Championship. It doesn't make him a bad human being, but for his own sake he needs to show some self-awareness and accept that's his limitations. Like all of us have to do in our daily jobs - and if he can earn a living doing what he's good at and enjoys then he's onto a winner.
Not sure many were interested in your cringey attempts to chat-up City Girl, but we were subjected to it nonetheless.
You seem really interested in expressing your disinterest whenever I mention non-City football-related topics. Do you know how to use the ignore feature on here? If not, ask one of the girls in the care home to show you after they’ve wiped your arse and given you your meds.
I don't buy this " he's a good L1 manager but not good enough for Championship". That sort of logic might work when separating out top end PL managers who either can or can't handle multi millionaire prima donas. Outside of that world, surely you are either a good manager / coach or you aren't? He had a squad that was good enough against L1 to play his system, but it didn't work and isn't working at Championship level. I think it's as simple as he (and Byrne) just aren't very good.
There must a General Football forum for gamers, FIFA boys etc where chat can be exchanged on 'Mou', 'Pep' and the rest. This is a Hull City forum.
Where people also talk about covid, debates over curry or mushy peas when they get chippy and a lot of other ****e. Put me on ignore or get over it, grandad.
Also, last time I checked, Raheem Sterling doesn’t and has never played for Hull City, but that doesn’t stop you ranting and raving about how much you dislike him whenever England play, on a Hull City Forum.
Seriously, will you two shut the **** up at each other. Ruining thread after thread including this thread which is probably the first one everyone looked at today, including me too, now in despair at seeing no news of Terry and ****wit having been relieved of their duties.
Can't wait to see the McCann's done one thread, won't be soon enough but think he's here a lot longer than we expect.
GM deserves all the Criticism he is receiving his record in the Championship is absolutely abysmal. What are we now 3 wins in 34 games. He looked very stressed last night in the after match interview even though the questions where straight forward he knows he is failing. What has he got 8 months left on his contract if I was him I’d resign and get a gig in League 1 which is his level at a smaller club. It is going to get very ugly for him otherwise Have to say I was very impressed with Doc’s interview very honest.
