No, their goal from the free kick was disallow3d because their player encroached on our wall contrary to the laws of the game. A correct decision.
Second one is here. Not seen the first one anywhere. It was a banger but we let them work it from the short corner like we often do.
Here ya go Chazz. https://www.skysports.com/watch/vid...s/championship/12439694/hull-1-2-peterborough
Danny Tickle was a Hull FC player and an excellent goal kicker. In June 2010 we visited Hull for a few days and planned to go to see Hull FC v St Helens with several of my husband's Hull family but I had a bout of food poisoning so missed out. My husband had not watched a Hull home match since he left England in 1966 and the match was won quite dramatically by Hull with a last minute field goal by Danny Tickle after they had come back from 6- 26 well into the second half to finally win 27-26. According to my husband it was at the same end as the missed penalty tonight hit over the bar. A bit long winded but hope that helps!
The disallowed Peterborough goal, was the linesman flagging for offside? There was no way it was offside, what was he flagging for?
What can you say about that performance, pretty much the same as most others under McCann, aimless! As I have said before, he keeps doing the same and getting the same results. Someone should tell him you do this when winning not losing. Clearly, harking back to the last time we were in the Championship, Bowen & Turbo masked McCann ineptness managing at this level, and once they went the real situation came to light. What is happening now is so reminiscent of that 2nd half of the season, and even though the players appear to be giving their all, these results are slowly eroding their confidence. I fear a Wigan like result is not far away, as against a good team we are going to get a hammering if they get off to a fast start. If this takeover is likely to go ahead, then the Allam's are not going to spend money getting rid of McCann, they are going to let the new incumbent do this, in addition, the new owner will want to bring in their choice of coach/manager. So he is here for the time being, he may well know privately, that is the case, so is just seeing his time out. On the game, I guess the penalty miss inspired them and deflated us, and that is what a game between the 2 poorest teams in this division hinged on. For what it is worth after Tom H had to go off, Smallwood was probably one of our better players. Dembele for them was the best player on show IMO.
I started listening, not for long though. When asked about how he sorts the defending out “we have to keep working with the boys” Ffs terry we had the same defensive frailties in the championship last time. What have you been doing since? Where’s the scunny leg end Byrne
We played a deliberate slow build up type of game. Pass back and across the back four rather than try a forward pass. That is how we are set up to play. After Hudds went off the only forward pass of note was Smallwood to Elder who crossed for the goal. Unless there is change we are down with a whimper.
Absolutely lost as to what the man is doing . Another team variation , it took til the second half to have any cohesion against st a Peterborough side who looked bereft of any confidence. The missed pen and their goal was a real blow because we had dominated . What are we coaching we go down KLp’s wing but he clings to the bye line two or three yards before their back so we cannot slip a ball inside because he’s not close to them - hiding now? For all Magennis’s goal he does not contribute any pressure in the way that Eaves does , are least Eaves plays on the shoulder but he’s just not at this level too. Doch. Was by far the best player on the pitch , worked his socks off, Honey was knackered after 60 and should have been subbed before their goal so too Magennis - decisions too late !! If your team wins play the same one next match !!!!
10,245 - 2 of which were myself and my son as a late birthday present for him, luckily he also got a PS5... Two league one sides playing each other, lack of class in all areas, lack of ideas and Plan anything off the pitch, lack of giving a **** from the owners... ****ing roadworks on the way back!
It's many years since I applauded The Allams, but if they get shot of Terry now, I will again. All this bollocks about no change if a takeover is imminent, we'll lose c£5m revenue minimum if we go down and I'm guessing it'll cost c£300k to get shot. If I was the prospective new owner I'd insist he goes now, factor the position into the sales price potentially, any new owner will have someone lined up in principle. Each week Terry sticks around is another 3 points lost and we get further in the mire!
Burnsy seems to think there'd be little to no compensation to pay if we sacked him while we're bottom 3. Reckons there's a clause for that, and it's partly why Adkins wouldn't renew with us.
