No point just singing About McCann though, need to wave some pieces of card about , that’ll show we mean business
That's what happens when you cover your boots with engine oil before each game. Definitely something for the new analyst to look at once they retrieve the ball from the A63.
There must be a huge gulf in quality between L1 and Championship, because once Smallwood came on, that was pretty much the side that won the title..... Nowhere near good enough. Young, promising players looking low on confidence, zero risk taking, low tempo, sideways and backwards. That side could stay up, but not with the way they're managed...
Just home. That was ****ing grim, Peterborough by far and away the worst team we’ve seen at home all season and we lost to them - says it all. Was someone being funny playing “don’t dream it’s over” at the end? McGann has quite clearly lost the fans and is not getting them back. We gave him the benefit of the doubt after getting us promoted but we’re back to where we were in the 19/20 season, only this time we won’t even have the luxury of comfortable mid table position at Christmas. The players themselves (mostly) tried hard, and I believe they’re capable of being mid table if coached properly. Feel sorry for them
The only positives I took from that game is two free water bottles and free parking at HRI because the machine was broken.
So would I. It's all pretty hush hush at the minute because of the stage it's at, but that would be the smart thing to do if the current regime don't have to pay the compensation. My worry is we'll end up with somebody like Gary Megson as an "interim football consultant" or some bullshit.
My positive was that HCC have fixed all the lights on the path to Argyle Street. And I got the last potato wedges at half time.
I agree with what someone else said - we’ve just lost to the worst team I have seen at the KC for a long time. My lad said Magennis was going to put that penalty over the bar, his body shape was all wrong on the approach to kick it.
Just got home from the game. Have to say, pleased to report my expectations were pleasantly exceeded; rain and wind dried up, wasn’t as wet & cold as expected, infact quite mild. The game...oh dear, very poor, clearly the worst two teams in this division. The sad thing is for large parts of the game, we were on top, but when chances come a yard out from goal, 7 yards out, and easier to score than miss, you have to ripple the onion bag. As for the “penalty” miss words fail me. They were able to pick us off far too easily, helped by kamikaze marking & defending. As for McCann, same old really, wash, rinse & repeat. Like stooges, hands in pockets, staring down. Displaying no ingame management skills or even enthusiasm. A very hard watch.
I'm not sure how people are saying it wasn't cold , I was ****ing freezing Championship ? We're having a laugh
So it is still at a stage then? Personally, I'd be having a word with Quantuma about the potential availability of Rosenior.
Oh yeah, it's at the due diligence stage. I thought that had been mentioned already. Rosenior would be an outstanding choice, but after what happened to Brucey, not sure he'd go for it, they were pretty tight. Expect a cheap, temporary option if it were to happen.
