Really can’t see this as anything other than a red. Also noticed that Firmino doesn’t put his down in an attempt at a low header or whatever was being suggested by Macmanaman.

they were taking about what lescott said this morning at work and apparently he was saying the interference bit of offside is flawed

I don't. I think the offside when Bobby scored at Watford is ****e, and I've said so all along. But it is the rule. I thought you were arguing what the rules are, not what they should be. I stand down in the knowledge that I either misunderstood you, or that you've changed your stance. But the dog now agrees with you on the issue of my being a ****, for what it's worth.

Usually restrict myself to two in the first half, have a break for half time, then two in the second half. I usually then ask the Mrs what the score was!!!!

 

It's hard to keep up with the rules/laws when there is no consistency in applying them. Imo it was a clear red because of the contact, in slo-mo you can see both Griezmann's boot and Bobby's head wobble with the impact. There was a high boot in our game at the weekend, can't remember who was involved and I winced at that one, replays showed only contact with the ball and not the player. Still dangerous play but maybe more open to interpretation. I think all contacts with the head will result in more stern punishment.
