The forum's favourite trainer has had his number of runners halved I see - Ahorsewithnoname now a non-runner.

I see they are trying The Grand Vizir over hurdles again. in the 'lucky last'. Hasn't worked for that old boy yet in that sphere - 0/4.

Meanwhile, 'Jammy Bob' McMahon gets not one, not two but three bally races named in his honour! On behalf of the forum it will be your duty to wish him a 'Happy 70th' and if things are going well on the punting front maybe even buy the old boy a celebratory GnT.

A few years ago AP McCoy would have had a full book of rides at a meeting like this, looking for his 200th winner of the season. Added no end of spice to mid-week racing

The 2yo Novice at Newmarket at 4.25 is one for the notebooks.

Hurricane Lane won it last year. Cracksman won the race a few years before with Stradivarius in behind him.

In 6 runnings the race has produced 9 subsequent black type horses, inc 3 G1 winners.

55 runners over the 6 runnings have resulted in 36 winners - 65%

I fancy our horse tomorrow, market already shows that things are expected of her. Only a small field but hopefully she wins and qualifies for the final at Hereford.

Best of luck Nass - hope she comes back safe and sound (and hopefully into the winners enclosure). Will you be hob-nobbing with minor royalty? Just asking for a friend ............... <laugh>

I've heard more than a whisper for Chancycourt too, so it should be an informative race.

The Grand Visir now a non-runner so he won't be getting the chance to improve on that stat.
