unless Enob begs him to come back to City!!! If you want to get promoted from The Championship Bruce is your man
I'm sure Bruce would tell Enob where to stick it

Inevitable, but I hope he enjoys every penny of that £8m. Imagine making it to be manager of your boyhood club and getting the abuse he got for the last couple of years. He kept them mid-table and kept his dignity to the end.

I love Brucie, and to be fair I do think he is a better Championship manager, than a PL one. But he didn't deserve the treatment he got at SJP.

He never deserved the stick he received from most Newcastle fans, what a great irony it would be if they got relegated.

Zero chance. He left because of Ehab…..

If we get new owners soon, then maybe there is a small chance.
It’s the hope that kills you………

He'd be rich enough now to join a consortium and buy and manage his own club, maybe a northern club for sale near the bottom of the Championship with potential, one he knows rather well...

He didn't deserve the treatment he got, but fact remains he chose to work for an owner who was despised by most Newcastle supporters, so he got tarred with the same brush. That said it was his 'hometown' club so clearly just simply something he felt he couldn't turn down.

Terry here gets the treatment as he's seen as the owners puppet (putting his appalling record to one side), and someone who demonstrates his willingness to continue working for owners who put simply are not well liked, and that's very unlikely to change unfortunately.

    Well, never saw that coming.

The contract signed with Ashley was a stroke of brilliance. By both men. The club was for sale, any new owner would want to install his own manager. Ashley sells the club, doesn't have to fork out 7 million (yes, sorry to drop the severance a million, but that is the figure I have seen), and Bruce awaits the dreaded vote of confidence with a shed load of cash dropping into his bank account.

Kudos also to Steve for learning you only get paid out if you are sacked. Not if you walk away.

    Sheffield United - resigned
    Huddersfield - sacked
    Wigan - resigned - twice
    Crystal Palace - resigned
    Birmingham - resigned
    Sunderland - sacked
    City - resigned
    Aston Villa - sacked
    Sheffield Wednesday - resigned
    Newcastle - kerching

On the BBC article he said that's it now, retirement but never say never.

He’s just not a very good manager, and he’s a total bellend. The Newcastle fans hate him because he sided with Ashley, much the same as he sided with the Allams here.

I can’t believe any city fan could have a shred of sympathy for the two faced spineless turd.

He's not that old and I reckon football's in his blood, he'll fancy another challenge in due course I'm sure. I don't think the £8m would have made much difference to his decision, he's worth about £40m already, allegedly.

Was always onto a hiding to nothing at Newcastle, the fans despised him from day 1, I'd be more then happy to see him back here in place of numb nuts, but while he has the helm there's a snowballs chance in hell of that happening. Put wa feet up Stevie, one day at a time and enjoy until another cheque book comes calling for ya
