Perhaps Sensible & I are more receptive to the generally positive vibe around the club

    • We're solvent, in fact Simon Hallett said that the next set of accounts will show the club is now holding cash in reserve
    • We're seeing meaningful accounts, which isn't the case at many clubs
    • The club is active in the community - Jack Lesley statue, NHS day on Tuesday, vaccination centre, raising funds to repair Redruth United's vandalised clubhouse etc
    • ArgyleTV
    • Academy producing 1st team squad players, junior international caps
    • Plans for a new training ground for 1st team, Academy and women's team
    • Big screen on the way
    • A ground we can now be proud of
    • Seemingly consolidating in League 1 (2nd in the league at the time of writing, early doors, not getting carried away, rabbit foot to hand, fingers crossed etc etc).
    • 4th lowest goals conceded in the division after last year's trevails
    • 11,000 attendance last Tuesday night
    • Away end at Lincoln sold out this afternoon: is there are worse journey than Plymouth to Lincoln? Ipswich I suppose.
We'd all like more players Plym but I really don't see the justification for despondency, Goodness knows there haven't been many times in my long association with the club when the club's been in a better place.

Those are all good points notDistant.

An away point today isn't to be sneezed at....just disappointed that we couldn't hold on to all three.

I feel that Randell and Law should be getting far more game time.....we are not using our 16 chosen players on the day to their full value......injuries will come from the continual use of our starting eleven.....subs do not get up to speed by sitting on their hands and certainly do not gain match experience....these are just facts that I wish Ryan Lowe would invest in.

I'm a great fan of Randell. However once you've seen Jordan Houghton you realise its not going to be easy to displace him. Big, strong, cool and commanding.

Grant is Mr-7-out-of-10 and Garrick is big strong and FAST and gives flexibility as he can play up front too. Ryan Law isn't going to get it easy either.

Strange really we used 4 subs on Tuesday and got 2 injuries. You get injuries when you put any 11 players out on a pitch in a competitive sport. It's the nature of the beast and that's a fact.

Read an article about the unfairness of the International weekend.

During the weekend all Premier and Championship level clubs have a break from matches.....even if they have no players involved.

But with Div 1&2 clubs they are expected to play unless they have three players called up.

Now clubs like Argyle who have two players called up... are expected to still play there league game...although they are weakened by having those two... generally better players unavailable.

So clubs who are not playing because of three or more players unavaliable....will rearrange their postponed game when they obviously will have a full compliment of players to choose from.

Is this not unfair towards clubs that have had one or two players away on international call-up who are expected still to play though under-strength.

Now with Argyle there is another factor to take onboard (maybe other clubs as well).....an injury list of 4 or five players unavailable as well....a double whammy.

Question.....have Burton any International call-ups....or are they at full-strength.....if they are isn't that unfair on Argyle.

I also read that Premier League and Championship voted not to schedule any games during these periods and that League one and two could have done the same but didn't. Self inflicted unfairness then if that is the case.

Given the small number of games left they might as well have called the whole thing off. I see Tranmere v Colchester is at 7:45 on Friday: perhaps that extra TV revenue for them. You'd have thought Sheffield Wednesday v Bolton might have got the call too...........

Ryan Lowe getting ahead of the present situation I think....suggesting that Argyle are on the way back to the Championship.....Ryan the top two clubs didn't play.....and to suggest that Ryan Hardie is being snubbed by Scotland is definately over the top....he's only playing in Div 1.

Did you actually read his comments Plym? He spoke about the crowd chanting we are on our way back and then said we would not get carried away with where we are although we are there for a reason that is winning matches. He said we are on our way back to being a sustainable Championship club because that is the ambition and why he was here with Simon Hallett, the players and fans. He then repeated that we cannot get carried away. That is a mile away from getting ahead of himself. He is also the Manager trying to man manage his players. He is bigging up his player by blowing Hardies trumpet for him. Why wouldn't he say what he said? It's a million times better than "He's only playing in league one" as if that was a disability or failure of some kind. Just for once be bleddy happy for god sake it won't bite you on the arse or anything.

We got fined £2500 for the absolute slaughter punch up at Lincoln then. They got £2750. I saw that supposed melee as they called it and it was pathetic if branded a punch up of any kind. Another one to the Ref for not being in the least decisive with his decision making and causing the problem in the first place. So, not only did the prat give them a penalty that never was he got us a fine for a melee of his causing that never should have been. What did the Ref get I hear you ask. A fee for being a dick head basically.

Disappointing start to the season for James Bolton and Niall Ennis....neither have started a league game yet.

James Bolton picked up an ankle injury a couple of days into pre-season training.....Ryan Lowe is hoping that he will start training with the squad by the end of October or the beginning of November.

Nial Ennis who played well when joining Argyle for the second half of last season....suffered a hamstring injury whilst warming up for the seasons starter at Rotherham.....his recovery hasn't gone well.....Ryan Lowe has put no time table on when he will return to action.....he has started running on grass.

I would have thought both would have been in Lowe's plans as starters in his first eleven squad.....so they will both be bonuses for the squad when they become available.

Bolton manager Ian Evatt is already sobbing his heart up over players he will not have available fot the Argyle trip Tuesday.

He will have players out and players carrying injuries playing on Tuesday.....he himself has picked up a touch line ban and will be sitting in the stand.

Always the same the next match starts the moment the whistle blows on the match before.

At least we know they aren't unbeatable.....

Will be a great awayday to a great stadium at least. Went there once as a guest to a big FA Cup tie... went as an away "supporter" but can't remember which the team was! Derby County possibly...

Looking at the league table from our lofty position... you can see that the lowest we can be... if those with games in hand win them...is 4th.

You can also see that two of the so called big clubs...Portsmouth and Charlton are failing badly....and must be on the verge of changing their management.
