It would explain the delay... They could've got Howe last week surely? Either will do but Favre is my pick and was even under Ashley, but I knew he wouldn't go out and get him. Fingers crossed
Favre - given all the issues - is probably the best we could possibly hope for in the circumstances. Obviously hope he works out. Got to say, if it's Howe I'm going to be underwhelmed. In fact, that'd be flat out disappointing. Swapping Bruce for Howe is a bit like having your club taken over, but rocking up at the first game with a **** manager.
All we're waiting for is the other 19 clubs ratifying Steve's sacking at a new emergency general meeting.
I agree his stock was extremely high at one time, but fell dramatically after his last job It's either going with dross or taking a punt on someone while their stock is low.
https://www.skysports.com/football/...s-not-like-atletico-madrid-boss-style-of-play Another reason to get him in

Mark Douglas now dampening it all saying he's probably getting the ****ing Palace game? That cannot be right. That would be approaching three weeks in charge, and another nailed on defeat. That would also mean today's lack of training WAS a Bruce decision and that these owners accepted it. ****ing hell, hope he's wrong, I'll lose my **** if he's here by 10pm.
Mate it's going to happen they just don't want to settle for anyone. They're going to get the foundations right. You don't want to end up like everton who foolishly tried to go from a to z too quickly
Chaos, we're ****ing getting relegated. How can you plan long term when you are weeks away from an irreparable slide into the Championship, because you're afraid of changing Bruce? Who are they after who isn't available that's leading to this procrastination? Rafa/Jose both just signed for their clubs - and neither are coming to manage a Championship side. If we were in the Championship, who would we be after for the "long term"? Nobody. We'd be taking Hughton on and hoping for promotion, then trying to stabilise, then sacking Hughton. They need to wake the **** up.
Nobody is afraid they just don't want to make a poor choice. They're obviously not too fearful of the drop otherwise they'd not have gone ahead. Everything will be done properly and the futures bright. The immediate future will be tough
I'm wondering whose there now that can drive us forward at the start. A DoF should be the first appointment. Yeah they've got Charnley, so at least there's someone there who can serve the coffees, but they need a football professional who can deal with various agents. Their phone will be hot from all sorts of individuals wanting to be involved. How do they sort the wheat from the chaff?
