yes, this…. I can just hear him saying “this will work, just trust me, you need to believe in yourself and bring your natural abilities to it, we’re sticking with this because I can see it’ll work and I just need the penny to drop with you; go out there and enjoy yourself” - it’s management philosophy for the arrogant, Look-at-me, I’m-in-charge twats. How do they keep getting work, it must be that the employers are just as dumb.
He's history but I fear the damage he's done If the new manager sniffs out players like lacelles and Hayden it'll be a good start. Those two being injured for the last 11 games last season was key, but sadly Bruce didn't see the connection. Schar feddy should all start every week... Cm is dreadful... None of them are even remotely good enough. Sean longstaff really is out of his depth.. This constant ****e about his 1st handful of games needs to end. The lads absolute trash at this level. The worst part is he's trying his heart out Carroll had a few good games but ultimately he was never good enough
And then below happens. 1 shot on target and that was the goal in the 2nd minute. With ASM Wilson Joelinton Willock on the pitch. That’s 18 + 20 + 40 + 25 = 103m of spend. All under Bruce.
The CM is the reason and the common factor behind it all. They create nothing clear cut for the forward players. Willock had a purple patch back end of last season but I don’t recall him creating chances. Hayden. Nope. Longstaff. Nope. Shelvey. Nope. Hendrick. Nope. Thats 5 CM and none of them can create a chance.
They're so useless they don't want the ball and behind them two cloggers with lacelles and Clark... They just punt it or they get scared and pass the buck to ritchie who punts it down the flank. That happens over and over again
I’d feel down, but then I check myself with “whatever happens, we can now afford to buy the people to reverse it”
And yet here we are 10 days down the road and not a single change of staff has happened as far as I am aware. I understand Jamie Rueben has been appointed director. But that isn’t a change of staff because we didn’t have any other than Lee. I understand they may have been caught “off the bounce”’with how quick it happened but for all we know they had a weeks notice prior to us knowing. That gives them 17 days. Steve should have been hauled in first thing this morning and an announcement this afternoon. I’m still convinced Steve Bruce’s contract is the problem. But others don’t believe me on that point.
I'm sceptical about the contract being an issue. Yes an additional year get's added on if the team survives in the PL. That is a point in time extension and should not affect the ability to terminate his services with the appropriate monetary compensation, same as any managerial contract. I do feel we should have already had the Steve sacked notification by now though. Keeping him in his role is not going to gain the club or owners anything.
I've also been told that on the RB share is that it's been bought for JR so doubt much money from then either. So we are 100% reliant on whatever pif want to spend.
I'm waiting for the news that PIF aren't spending freely and expect a self-sustaining club. So entertaining the notion he has a "contractual complication" - that's not going to ****ing disappear anytime soon, is it? Are they going to sit and wait for relegation so they can terminate him for free? That doesn't seem like a very ambitious plan.....
