Who would buy lacelles shelvey gayle Fraser Hayden and Joelinton? None of these players are even remotely useful in this league.
I think he is sick of the tactics and team selection. He literally must be thinking i need to do this on my own because these others duffers are crap. Imagine having all that talent (ASM) and then the tactic is, HOOF it up to ASM lads and let him do the rest.
Im not. I am saying he replaced a striker (when we needed goals) with Fraser and put him in midfield. Gayle is not everyone's cup of tea but he is a striker.
It's really poor and Bruce knows he hasn't got a clue, but it's personak vs him and the fans, so he wants to defeat them by staying
The idea of a complete rebuild in the Championship does sort of make sense. But still immensely risky. I don't think there's much hope flogging Shelvey, Gayle or Fraser. All three are ****e and ageing and are probably among our highest earners so won't accept a reduction at their new club. Joelinton would be easy to sell back to Europe.
Ultimately I just don't fear relegation because they'll be back and when they're back they'll be staying. It'll be a slight delay and we'll win every week in the fizzy Hopefully we stay up, but I'm looking at this side and I think it would be ignorant to not think it's likely to go down.
Yeah getting fed up with Maxi - all well and good going forwards scoring the odd worldy goal and getting a few assist but his reaction to Kane's overlap on the half way line yesterday was disgraceful. I've never seen a player look less interested in defending. To a certain extent it's not his fault as he is a luxury player who can win you a game but it's no good in a team like ours when we need everyone working their nuts off to get a draw let alone a win. I think he is a large reason we can't figure a formation out as we are trying to shoehorn him in to the squad while trying to play more attacking this season but it's leaving us open at the back and can't afford passengers like him and Shelvey in the team.
What I will say is that Bruce trying to reinvent him as a striker has ruined him He's a left sided attacking midfielder. He's much better there than anywhere else I've seen him play.. He gets frustrated and ends up all over the ****ing place
Not even a debate as to where he should be played - LW and LW only - maybe a 10-15min switch to the other flank to confuse but 99.9% of the time if he's not at LW he shouldn't be playing.
It's just another reason why Bruce's losing his job. He decides things, big decisions and just keeps doing it regardless of the fact it's not working
A bit like playing Football manager when your losing each week and you just keep changing the formation and players, getting more and more random until something happens and you win again. You then stick to it but it turns out that it was a one off lucky result and you end up losing more and getting sacked. Just somehow Bruce has defied the laws of physics?
