I hope he’s gone soon but if he was fighting for his job you’d think he’d try different things to get a different result…..he doesn’t
There's aspects of our game which look really good. Some of our players have real talent too. Unfortunately we're ****e at defending set pieces and lack any cutting edge within 12 yards of the goal. Both things which should have been addressed by the manager before the season started or should be fixed by the coaching staff - under the manager's direction. Which ever way you look at it, this is McCann's responsibility. He simply has to go.
I just feel really flat after this game. Thought there was a real do or die attitude against boro in horrible conditions. we certainly weren’t bad today we just went back to being not dangerous not threatening and contained by them. its so annoying it was a way forward for us and him and he’s gone back on it. Meh
You're absolutely right Geo. You know when his stubborn streak has truly kicked in as he either 1) tells us to ignore the evidence of our eyes and experience or 2) he blames the team. Today, he added a third element: it's all discussed and agreed behind closed doors and so otherwise, don't question him he won't/can't incapable or too stubborn to discuss it. He needs to be gone by tonight.
Unfortunately with the poor quality of player we have in certain positions plus the poor tactics and team selection then we are just going to have to hope we manage the odd win to keep in touch until (and if ) new owners do come in, if not we will go down, Big changes need to be made but I can’t see much happening with all this uncertainty at the moment.
That last line says it all for me Chazz. There is no logic to his reasoning or methods. He just doesn't learn a thing from the games. I've got to cheer myself up before playing a Wedding gig... flat as **** and angry too. I need a beer.
Asked why he changed formation from the last game he replied "thats a private matter between me and my staff" what a pratt.
4 3 3? I'm not sure what it was, especially up front. I do though know he didn't have the sense to build on the Boro result.
Flat like Eric or flat like a deflated tyre? Or like you've been run over by a cartoon steam roller? Or like you've stood stone still under a falling anvil which has been dislodged from a cliff top. - unwilling to move from your position even though you have a look of puzzled bemusement on your face as you try to understand why the ground around you is cast in an anvil shaped shadow, which is growing bigger and bigger by the second, until... It's the last one isn't it? The inevitable condition of all City fans.
Of course he has to go, you know it, I know it & anyone who knows anything about football knows it, which rules out The Allams, who are totally clueless about football & only care about receiving £2 million per year from Hull City in interest payments on the loan. They will never sack McCann as it would involve spending their own money employing a decent Championship level manager & giving him some money to spend in Jan. This goes against The Allams current business model of investing none of their own money into Hull City & removing millions of pounds from Hull City every year in loan interest. We are stuck with McCann & his hapless assistant & we are already as good as down to Div 1. No way he'll turn it around as he doesn't possess the managerial skills to do it. A ****ing blind man can see that!!!!!
Well, here’s hoping we get rid of McCann first, sooner rather than later, and a new Manager sees sense reinstating Emmanuel to his rightful place, and I don’t mean the bench. After today’s debacle, McCann deserves the sack for team selection alone, not to mention the standard of football served up or defensive offering/set piece defending, or lack of. Respect to the travelling support, safe trip back.
If that's aimed at me... I never say we will or won't. I just pass on the things I see/hear/get told.
