At last football is back again because the diet of International football served up gave me a bad stomach and forced me to drink more. Southgate is garbage and I believe the buffoons in charge of Scotland, N Ireland and Wales are even worse.

So its Saints this weekend and I have a problem because we already know we have regular starters Ayling and Bamford missing through injury but we may also see Kalvin Phillips and Raphinha missing too. How can you think the dice isnt loaded against your team? Yes Bielsa will find a way but with a reduced deck and when we are already chasing points it just doesn't seem fair. So heres one of the problems I have and this headline from a Jamie Carragher article:
Jamie Carragher blasts FIFA with Leeds United set to play Southampton without Raphinha

Fixture lists are being corrupted just because they took a bribe and we play a World Cup in December ffs. There is a real argument that says we should have shown balls and refused to play. Rather than the woke sanctimonious sports journos kicking off about Newcastle because of a Suadi owner. They were all quiet when Chinese money was flooding the Premier League and European football as the worlds biggest human rights abuser was buying Wolves, AC Milan, Inter Milan and many many more clubs across Europe and has money invested in more premier league clubs. Silence!

On the subject of Raphinha a good breakfast post today from Elland about Raphinha and from a £17m investment we now have a full Brazil International who has already created 5 goals and scored 2 in only his first 3 games. We always wanted to brag about having a Brazilian superstar, some like Wakey just fancied a Brazilian. We now have a world superstar on our books and he is covered by all the worlds top clubs. I hope he stays next season but if if he goes we will realise a massive profit.

That brings us to the “Plan” that we believe is based on Leicester City’s model. Think Jammy on the breakfast debate mentioned that selling one player each window for top profit means nobody else needs to go and that money reinvested in a couple of new top players….. i believe next summer sees us by a top worldy midfield player and another top forward. I see the likes of Ayling Cooper, Dallas and Klich starting to be replaced gradually by the likes if Shackelton, Drameh, Gelhardt, Summerville, Bate. These kids will be gradually brought into the frame over this season. I also believe that Sam Greenwood will want to leave in the summer as his chances of impacting the first team are slimming.

The new signings next summer will depend upon how the kids take their chances. For example why pay lots of cash for a striker if Joffy grabs his chance because if he does you have a potential top striker already on the books. Is Shaks the man to replace Ayling or is that Drameh, can Shaks or Bate be a top midfielder next season. Lets keep our fingers crossed because we already know Cresswell can replace Cooper, plus where do we fit Robin Koch, can Bate replace Phillips when injured but also replace Klich? I think how this season pans out will have a huge impact upon transfer plans dor next summer

    From Brazil head coach Tite:

He said: "I publicly thank Bielsa for accompanying and working with Raphinha and all the coaching staff that brought him closer to the national team.

“I spoke personally with Bielsa, and I thank him for that support with him.”

Crap times when MPs can be attacked like Sir Ian Duncan Smith last week and today Sir David Amess was stabbed multiple times in his constituency surgery. He has died at the wcene and anti terror police are now involved. When our media laugh at comedians who say Farage should have had acid thrown at him, then this week a Labour Mp threatens a woman with showing revealing photos of her and throwing acid at her is found guilty. The media and Labour MPs think calling tories scum is great news, Labour MPs who say tory women MPs need raping. If you find any if this acceptable you need your head looking at. So tories are being selected for attack and abuse now on a regular basis. Jo Cox was a Labour MP but murdered by an idiot not a tory

Sad to say that the whole world has gone to pot and in my view because of all the “Do Gooders” in this world who say you can’t do this and you can’t do that what about his/her rights
We are allowing too many people to get away with doing anything
Fu*k their right to free speech you have to earn that right

This happened not far from where I live. Quiet, leafy Leigh-on-Sea. Tbh I’m surprised it doesn’t happen more often. Too many outright nut jobs allowed to roam the streets of the UK putting the lives of innocent people at risk.

This is the result of pandering to the liberal do-gooders. We’re too soft. Time for zero tolerance.

The Leicester model has worked well for them, but if and when we sell one of our star assets, the other stars may not want to hang around!

Am taking a stab in the dark but as the police will only say the blokes age, you can bet hes an islamist. If this had been a white guy he would have been named and the media would be showing his photo everywhere. Even from my comment you can see a big disconnect between the media and authorities and the general public. The guy who killed Jo Cox had his picture everywhere and the media went after him saying he was a far right extremist. Turns out he was just a lonely old nut job, but thats the way things work here, so lets see what comes out

I think the players bought into a project and if they see the club delivering every year they stay and want to be a part of it. So lets see where we are in January

The Leicester model works great but it's dependent on getting the recruitment right.

Also, players talk. If a Raphinha leaves amicably and we go in for a replacement then that replacement will know that as long as he does the business for us then it's clear that the club will help him get his move when and if the time comes. That reputation does wonders for recruiting the best up and coming talents and puts us at the front of the queue. Look at the quality of kids we are getting now due to the reputation of giving young players a chance.

Good weekender as always Doc <ok>

I'm sticking to talking about the footy as the murderous incident today is just too horrible and despicable for words.

    So...

Arsenal v Leeds (Carabao Cup) now live on Sky, Tuesday 26th Oct, KO 7-45pm.

Also, for the rest of the compettition 5 substitutes will be allowed from 9 on the bench, plus a potential additional one in extra time for the semis and final.

Really looking forward to this one and I hope we put out a full strength side, especially as our next match is not until the following Sunday (Norwich away).

Not often they change the rules half way through though.

In other news; we play on Spurs (a) on the Sunday after the next international break in November. Not sure what Brazil's schedule is but hopefully that means Raphinha will be available for that one.

Just watching WBA v Birmingham and it's not pretty to say the least.

Good riddance to the Championship and hopefully we never go back there.
