I had a cup of coffee at Steve Howey's house in 1992 near the start of his career as a Skunk when he lived in Sunderland, and, although things will have changed since, he was definitely a Sunderland supporter then :emoticon-0148-yes:

It’s just flashed up Bruce to take charge on Sunday they must of been knocked back off a few managerial targets else Bruce would have been long gone

A man can dream, a man can dream ha ha

I've been speaking to my level headed Mag mate, yeah that's weird isn't it? And he doesn't know what to make of it all, doesn't know why Bruce is still there, but also feels like there isn't a manager there to come in for them, due to the current state. He says cut out the Conte and big names, and that brings him to either Lampard or Potter he says.

Both of which I think are....weird names.

It is interesting that several of those managers approached to replace Bruce have said no thanks!

Somebody will obviously take the job on... think of the wage packet and the money to spend on players.

Perhaps cos the Saudi's are murdering dictators, the approached managers have ethical concerns. Hang on did i just say football managers have scruples...nah got that wrong!

If there is going to be a manager, that seems like a 'top name', that is comfortable working under the Saudis or in Saudi....Leonardo Jardim is a name I've seen floated about.

It'll be a brave of totally unprincipled man who takes on Newcastle.

The racist ex-Spain manager would be perfect.

The fact they didn’t come in with a ready replacement seems strange. I thought that would have been the first thing they’d have done.

I can't see many principles getting in the way of any player or manager going there. Man City was/is a sportwashing exercise also though not as infamous as the Saudis.
