I had a great time at Fair on Saturday and I’ve always hated it, disliked it as a kid and then always dragged round by my Mrs , hate the crowds, the prices, the people …but afraid this year my hatred softened as my little girl couldn’t stop smiling , even the 90 quid shaped hole in my wallet didn’t dampen the spirits … also think it helped it was T shirt weather and not freezing bollocks off weather

I remember going back a few years thinking the traffic doesn’t seem as bad as it used too , think maybe more people walk now , not complaining makes it easier for lazy people like me too drive closer .

Walked around fair tonight and it was nice to just see everybody back out and enjoying it. Great atmosphere, no signs of trouble, the lights, the smoke, the smells - all good.

Good to see various hand gel stations around the fair and people giving gel out at the main entrance/exits.

    It was busy too.

That’s got nothing to do with playing it down. I also worked every day, crammed in a room with 26 other humans who went off at various times with the virus. I took it seriously then and I take it seriously now. Nothing has changed except the law, and the virus doesn’t follow a law. I’ve been double jabbed, but people are still dying from it, so it remains as much a danger as it did 12 months ago.
If you want to call it “just a flu”, you do that if it helps you deal with it. Just know that the reality is that it isn’t “just a flu”.

We went last night. I really enjoyed it.

I thought it was no where near as busy as pervious years. I remember even a few years ago it was shoulder to shoulder. But last night it comfortably roomy.
