I'd be surprised if they bounced back. They look to have a rotten core similar to those down the road. As they have found out, the Championship is no place for teams full of players who don't care. Pardew was a fool to take the job. However its the only jobs available to him and the other British managers. Unless you have a chairman like Burnley you will just be the next sacrificial lamb.
5% win ratio. Truly staggering with that squad. Ian Wright thinks Pardew will struggle to get another job in the Premier League. I agree.
Best thing I've read from the fall-out is Pardew shouted at 19 year-old Sam Field in front of the whole team and repeatedly said he was "****ting it" before the City game. The lad was also Ill at the time. This is a manager going from strength to strength, he managed to Pardew a whole team in one day. Got to be a record.
If you are a club owner you look at Pardew's record and think '**** that!' Finished in the game thank ****.
Think lots of pundits are saying it, the players there are equally as guilty - the quality of player they have should have seen them clear but they lack work ethic and are paying for it, the chairman and board deserve a mention for employing Pards and Carver in the first place, how drunk were they when they thought that was a good idea? Think Pard's will end up at some also ran Championship team and have to build again from there - back to being a bottom feeder in the EPL.
And just think how much Pards has probably been paid to do a bad job and how much he's going to be paid for being sacked.
Pleasing to see Sir Alan smiling again, don't you just love it. Then again, who wouldn't be smiling if you taken a job over the winter months and walked away with a rumoured £4m payoff between him and JC. . I'm sure he's really pissed off, or not.....
