Congratulations! the most reasoned thread I have read on 606 for a long time.
If we are all honest, the results are the most important thing to all us football fans.
Who wants to get relegated playing lovely football!
As a loyal saints fan, I still expect WHU to be a big threat to everyone else this season.

No West Ham fans on here really, so I've had a root and found their HQ (quite a nice forum actually) at http://kumb.com/ (Knees Up Mother Brown)

What happens is, they enter a password and once they think they're all alone amongst there own...they parade about and have a knees up to reveal their...HOOFS! THEIR GROTESQUE HOOFS!!

A lot of hammer supports are saying we only won because they played sh*t.
Some even saying that we both were sh*t and saints got lucky.
Seems to me alot of west ham supporters don't see us as anything else then just mediocre.

What I read regarding the match was mainly complimentary towards us, not a bad bunch.

  12. Yes I have read through the kumb site as well. Some complimentary remarks on there, others not so. I think they are all still hurting a bit after last season's fall from grace.

Comment from a friend who supports West Ham and was at the game

In fairness I think you deserved it last night. Pressing when you didn't have the ball and moving it about ON THE DECK when you did was a real treat. No standout players for me, just a good team mentality. WH on the other hand hmm lon...g ball Sam at his best, Nolan looked unsettled (again) and Carew was cut adrift. We only looked to play "West Ham" football when Joey O'Brien came on and we kept the ball down and if I'm honest that was the only time I thought we really looked like scoring. Other than that I thought you were more likely to make it 2-0 although that might have been a bit harsh.

To be fair it's taking some of the hammers fans time to adjust to the reality they're not in the prem anymore as it did some of us Saints fans a few years back and they'll be looking down their noses at any team they play this season and if they lose it's cos they played poorly not because the opposition were better.

I had them down as favourites to go straight back up at the begining of the season but having seen them against Palace a few weeks back and again onTuesday night I'm not that impressed. Still, they're in second spot at the moment and if they consistently get their act together it might be a short stay in this league.

Just watched extended highlights on Player (with only one goal gave the full 90 mins a miss). Although we deserved the win, with other good chances, there were a few hairy moments, luckily Kelv was on form. What was Fonte up to? I'm sure he had good bits they didn't show, but I hope that was all this season's mistakes in one game. De Ridder looked up for it..that's what competition for places does for you. The West Ham fan was quite right, Saints are all good players but our strength is as a unit and..we are loving it!

I went for a couple of beers after the game on Tuesday and then got a taxi home. The taxi driver was a West Ham supporter and asked me how the game was. I said honestly I thought we played much better football but they were hoofing it up and had a few good chances, could have scored a couple and even won though they didn't deserve it. He said he used to travel up from here to see the Hammers play but he doesn't bother now cause even if they win they play like ****e. He really didn't like Sam Allardyce and I can see why!

Just read their comments and if you are what you eat, then a lot of them have eaten a plate of "Bitter Miserable Bastard"

    Hope they get relegated. <ok>

I actuall thought Mark Noble was the player who made the difference for them in the last 20 minutes. He really got on the ball and looked to pass it on the deck. It sums up big Sam that Noble was on the bench and that oaf Diop starting.
