45 mins completed and great news https://safc.com/news/academy-news/2021/october/report-vs-leeds-united
Wonderful news, I have high hopes for this lad. If Sunderland didn't feel the same I think he'd have been paid off. Let's hope he loves being here and becomes a big part of it all.
as i said on the other thread, he did not have a lot to do, managed a looping header from a free kick that went just over the bar, but got 45 minutes into his legs and i guess the fact that leeds managed to threaten more in the 2nd half meant he did what was needed, expect more minutes against man utd u23's and he is well on his way to a return, great to see after his injury problems.
When do we play Man U under 23’s. I would have thought he might get some minutes against their U21’s.
Was it not Arbys weak header that led to the Leeds goal? Not a criticism in any way mind he's going to be raw and nowhere near match sharp for a while.
True, but what little i saw of him when he first came here, hes a footballer who is comfortable and can play with both feet.. he is a goodun.
Totally agree, mate. I've always been impressed with the little I've seen of him and how much the club staff seem to rate him.
Good to see him back and hopefully he is as good as the stats suggest. Wonder if his return might hasten Wright's departure? For all the comments Johnson has made I can't help feel that they'd be happy to sell Wright and get his wages off the books
aye, he has a way to go obviously but the main thing was 'minutes in the legs'...although summerville still had plenty to do when he got the ball and it was an excellent goal to be fair.
Personally know very little about the man, he was I believe well thought off, but had an awful injury shortly after arriving. Let's hope he makes a full recovery and is able to make a significant contribution to promotion!
Im looking forward to see what he can offer. He'll come in for Alves i think who'll return to West Ham. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spo...r.com&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebar
They seem reluctant to risk him. Maybe the injury has done lasting damage to his knee and/or his general flexibility/athleticism
It's a real pity as it's in an area we're short in,and he looked promising in the brief look we had before we,and he, became yet another victim of the dreaded International call-ups.
IIRC LJ said something along the lines of the Docs and the club have done as much as they can it's now up to Arby to test and trust his body to see how far it can go. Whether that means he is 100% fit and any problems are in Arbys head or that he's never going to fully recover and we just have to see what sort of player we now have I really don't know. We truly were cursed with injured centre half's just hope the lad makes a full recovery
