Are showing just how **** they are, Col U are struggling with Chambers, Skuse Judge and Sears. Just goes to show how right Paul Cook was!!
In truth they were all past their best, and apart from a rare glimpse of their former skills/attitude I think it best they hang up their boots and look to alternative careers.
I think of all the players who left only Downes could probably have been improved under Morsy’s guidance,the rest, I really don’t think we’ve missed at all.For those who’ve joined Col U,it just shows how poor they really were.
They have exactly the same results as us, bar we have a slightly better difference. Not sure what that says but hopefully by the end of this month we will be flying!
Nice one Hampy! In fairness, we should have won at least 3 more, and fair to say that we have all enjoyed the totally different style of football being served up. Lets hope the results start reflecting this.
Some seem to be forgetting that we were fifth at this stage last season with those same players. Yes their time was up at Town but let’s get our own house in order first.
Ffs, it's where you finish that matters, we have far superior players now, just waiting for them to start clicking. It will happen, just takes time and those who think it doesn't know jack about football!
We could have kept them and played dull footy aimed at avoiding relegation because that’s all they were capable of. Or we could try and do things differently and more in the tradition of our style and approach.
That had sod all to do with the players and everything to do with their manager at the time. I find the idea that from our current position we should be looking down on players at the end of their careers who were top Championship players in their prime absolutely incomprehensible.
Not surprised they're struggling. All of them well past their prime but I wouldn't go has far to spit hatred at them and mock them. They were all done a disservice by the culture at the club which they ended up reflecting. I don't think our results are comparable, the spine of Colchester's squad was pretty much itfc last season, no Gel required.
It’s a bizarre situation there. If you count Dobra they have 9 ex-Ipswich Town players. Shows a lack of imagination, ambition and direction if you ask me.
In both the players and the Club,it makes me laugh really when you remember how chippy fans like ColU were about anything Town, since we “poached” Burley from them!
