Derby come saddled with a load of debt, a points deduction and crap league position, a high wage budget and a similar asking price to us. People have shown interest because they’re going for cheaper than they usually would.

Or, you could buy Hull City, who have a crap league position, but a low wage budget, a decent asking price, a half decent, young squad, a lot less debt and complication and with recent premier league pedigree.

Your speculation about what the Allams would do is just that, so it’s not crap to say the asking price is set, it’s already been met. They aren’t going to change it when a deal is already far down the road because they want to sell to these guys. This other bloke has just mentioned us as a possibility, as far as I know he hasn’t even formally contacted the club.

Par the period of exclusivity the deposit paid has bought them ( if it has been paid and agreements signed )

As far your last point re derby, how many more have shown interest in Derby then us? We have had lots of interest, some dreamers and time wasters and some that have been messed around by the current owners, but fact remains both us and derby have remained unsold. Difference is we haven't and won't go into admin due to no buyer being found. But to say derby have had more suitors or they would rather have derby then us, is a little bit of a stretch.... Admin will have a certain type of vulture now circling and I'm not sure I'd what those types looking at us

Same. I just never practice enough and as you'll know, you really must practice.

I'd say I'm not even anywhere the player I was ten years ago. Laziness is a big factor with me.

It's a satin finish one which was slightly cheaper when new but actually easier to play as it doesn't have a sticky neck like some gloss ones.

I know what you mean, I removed the varnish on all of my guitar necks with a 1000 grit sanding pad. Worked a treat.

Something I haven't seen mentioned yet, have the Supporters Trust been preparing for a potential takeover insofar as trying to reach out to the potential new owners? I would hope they try to set up a meeting with any prospective new owner with some sort of infodump for lack of a better term about our recent (10-15 years) history, and what the supporters would love to see. I guess I'm thinking specifically with the timing and the potential for a certain Mr. Bruce to be available as a manager and what it would mean to the supporters to have someone like that back at the club.

Yes I've done similar with very fine wire wool. A good friend of mine told me, if you haven't removed all the finish, you can go back to a gloss finish using metal polish. I haven't tried it but he's very reliable.

Metal polish? I've never heard of that one.

I also have a have a Vintage brand Strat, but it chokes out up at the 11th 12th fret.

I didn't pay much for that one so I don't want to throw money at it.

To be fair, there's nothing else worth discussing on this thread is there?

I check on here now and then to see what the latest 'news' on the potential takeover (or at least rumours, speculation, views, etc) is.
Just saying it would surely be better for all if guitar posts or whatever had their own threads.
